The Friends
Gwyneth and Gloria grew up only a few houses away from each other. Their friendship started at an early age and for both, their parents have been a big influence in their lives.
Gwyneth
Gwyneth’s mother is a doctor, and her father is partial owner of an indoor ‘adventure park’ and climbing gym. He also does some personal training, mostly recommendations from the hospital his wife works at.
When Gwyneth was born, her mother took some time off from her medical practice. Her parents decided that Gwyneth’s father’s career offered more flexibility for working hours. So, Gwyneth’s mother returned to her practice, full time, and her father took over childcare for the young rabbit.
Growing up, Gwyneth spent a lot of time with her father and shared his passion for physical activities. The two often participate in obstacle course runs. She loves to spend time at her father’s business, and works part time, mostly helping with kid’s parties.
Gwyneth has a natural gift for encouraging others and inspiring them to do their best. She admires her parents for doing so much to help others live better and healthier lives. She wants to follow in their footsteps but isn’t sure what is the best way for her to do that.
Gloria
Gloria’s father is a successful accountant, and her mother has a small online business. Both are very detail oriented and like having very structured lives. Gloria often rebels against the order and structure her parents prefer. This sort of dynamic could lead to a strained relationship between parents and child. However, her parents are understanding and allow Gloria some freedom but with clear limitations. Her parents also apply their rules to themselves as much as to her. Seeing that her parents are firm, but fair has instilled a strong sense of fair play as well as right and wrong in Gloria. Though she hasn’t admitted it to anyone, Gloria secretly dreams being either a lawyer or a police officer.
Gloria is fun loving and adventurous, always looking to push boundaries. Her sense of right wrong prevent her from intentionally doing things to hurt people. However, she can sometimes push a joke or prank too far. Her friends, especially Gwyneth and May, help to keep her from going too far.
Gloria and Gwyneth have a friendly rivalry when it comes to sports and physical activities. While Gwyneth engages in physical training, Gloria is simply very physically active. They will sometimes try new activities that neither has participated in before and see who can outperform the other. These events provide fodder for May’s social media, while Lily is often the one to suggest the new activity.
