"So, I had a weird dream a while back, and when I talked about it with a friend of mine, they offered to draw a few parts of it for me. Maybe some of you will find it interesting, maybe not, but I did. While there were actually 5 things that stood out to me, one involved a human, and you know how my friend is with drawing humans.
"First, I was in a forest somewhere - if it'd been based on a real place, I didn't recognize it. I wandered around for a little while, and eventually happened across a winged snake! Like, with feathered wings too, not even something that would make sense for a reptile! The rest of their body kind of reminded me of Sni-tii, they were a really similar color. Apparently they were guarding something, but I never found out what it was.
"A little after leaving that snake, still in the forest, I ended up just falling through the ground into a hole. When I looked back up, the fake ground was just gone, but I'm certain it'd been there. Just after that, I heard giggling, and a tiny blue dragon with butterfly wings fluttered down in front of me. I could tell right away they were the one behind that, and I gave them a piece of my mind for freaking me out so much, but that just made them laugh more, so I just left.
"At some point, there was a scene change or something, and I was in a cave - not underwater, this is important. After a bit of walking, there was... Well, a jellyfish, somehow. Just, floating in the air. It looked different from any kind I've seen before, it had eye stalks for some reason. Anyway, when it saw me, it started glowing green and floating toward me, and I of course freaked out, backing up and telling it to stay away... And, it listened, it even apologized! I wish I remembered more about it, I was closer to being okay with it than any other jellyfish.
"The last thing my friend drew; I was still in the cave, aimlessly wandering, and I found these cute little lizard guys! They were all pretty excited to see me, and practically begged to serve me for whatever reason. One even offered me a bunch of gold, but I guess I must've known on some level that it wasn't real, 'cause if it was I wouldn't have turned that down like I did. I did ask the group to help me find my way out of the cave though, which they did help with. I feel a little bad for disappointing them by leaving, but... Again, not like it really happened.
"And, the last interesting thing I remember - this stands out to me more than the other things. I was back out in a forest again, and I met this cool monk-looking guy with a staff. He also had a bunch of canaries hanging around him... 7, I think? Anyway, something really cool about this part: I remember, word for word, what he said to me, and this was also where I realized it was a dream. He said "Interesting to meet someone from another reality... But, I'm afraid your dreaming mind will not remain here much longer. However, while you yourself will never arrive here physically, echoes of your existence will, brought by... Well, who knows how many people. For now, though, it's time for you to wake up, Blubby."
"Then, like he said, I woke up. Pretty neat dream over all! Kind of wish I could've seen more of that world, but maybe another dream will make that happen."
At some point this year, D&D is turning 50 years old! Can't seem to find exactly when that is, but I made this to honor it. BIG fan of D&D, playing through a Curse of Strahd campaign right now, and I'm gonna be DMing Wild Beyond the Witchlight after it's done.
So, while we're talking about D&D... Anyone interested in including Blubby in their game? I made stats for him! All I ask in return is that you consider telling me what he gets up to in your game.

ABILITIES
Bottomless lungs: If Blubby does not bite and can breathe on his turn, he can inhale, gaining 1 Breath. Breath is used by certain actions, and having any prevents suffocation, with one being lost every hour that Blubby can't breathe. Blubby can have up to 6 Breath at once.
Dense body: Blubby has advantage on saving throws against effects involving being moved, but is incapable of swimming, being forced to walk when underwater. Jumping height is doubled underwater, and checks made to climb underwater have advantage.
Fear of jellyfish: Blubby is Frightened when within 5ft of a jellyfish, and cannot Bite or Claw them. Flumphs and Grells are similar enough that this also applies to them.

ACTIONS
Multiattack: Blubby can attack once with a bite and once with a claw
Bite: Melee weapon attack: +4 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 2d8+5 piercing damage
Claw: Melee weapon attack: +4 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 2d6+4 slashing damage
Blow bubble: Blubby uses 1 Breath to blow a 5ft wide bubble. On subsequent turns, he can use another Breath to expand the bubble another 5ft at a time, until he either runs out of Breath or chooses not to further expand the bubble. Once the bubble is not expanded on a turn, it cannot be expanded any further. Any creature adjacent to the bubble can use a bonus action to breathe from it. The bubble has 10AC, 1HP, and immunity to all damage but slashing and piercing. Blubby need not be underwater for this to be used, and cannot gain Breath on the round this is used.
Share air bubble: Blubby exhales a 1ft bubble toward an adjacent creature, who can use their reaction to breathe it in. Requires having at least 1 Breath, but will not consume any. Blubby need not be underwater for this to be used, and cannot gain Breath on the round this is used.
Gale breath: 2 to 6 Breath is expended as Blubby forcefully exhales in a 10ft cone. Each creature in the cone must make a DC14 strength save or be pushed 10ft and knocked prone, taking 2d4 bludgeoning damage, or half damage and no push or knockdown on a success. Flying creatures have disadvantage on their save. Each Breath used beyond 2 increases the cone's size and push distance by 5ft, the save DC by 2, and the damage by 1d4. Gale breath cannot be used underwater, and Blubby cannot gain Breath on the round this is used.
