Weeks pass, and in-between going to school, checking up on her soon-to-hatch chao egg and spending time with her friends and family, Mocha is eagerly awaiting the day they can officially move into their new home in Green Hill, where her father is currently staying.
On the very eve of that day, Cream invited Amy and the girls over to their old home for one last slumber party. It isn't the first time they've done this, and it surely won't be the last. But just the same as every other time, it ends with Mocha, Ember and Lilac cuddled together and snoring softly as they stayed up as long as they could before they exhausted themselves entirely, playing video games and watching their favorite movies in the dark until they passed out on a pile of pillows.
"Just look at them, Amy. They're just so adorable."
"They really are. And Lilac looks so peaceful. She feels safe around Mocha, you know. She doesn't sleep this soundly in her own bed at home. She likes having a giant friend around to keep her safe. It's just like I told you when they were babies."
"That feels like a lifetime ago, and yesterday at the same time...time goes so fast, Amy. Part of me wishes they'd just stay little forever."
"Well, Mocha hasn't been little since she was a few months old, but I get what you mean. It almost seems like it was yesterday we were changing diapers. Now look at them, 6 years old and starting to discover just what the world has to offer. Reminds me of you when you were their age."
"Oh stop." Cream giggled. "I can't wait to see the look on Mocha's face when she sees what we have planned tomorrow when we officially move in to the new house. I just know she's going to be so excited."
