I'm always amused how birds come up as examples of monogamous animals. Some are, buuuuttt... Penguins are a fun example. They're "monogamous", just kindly ignore the threesomes, lending a partner out in exchange for good nesting material, and that they have a different partner each year.

Does anyone else have trouble remembering which symbol and characteristics are considered typical of each party? Here's a 4-way mnemonic that I came up with:
Donkey
Elephant
Democrat
Republican
Left
Right
Liberal
Conservative
Donkey and Democrat both start with D Left and Liberal both start with L Right and Republican both start with R Once I had memorized those, I was able to infer the rest.
