Hate to come across as a nitpick, but as much as he totally deserves it, I’m going to need an explanation on how this is happening when this guy was shown to take out a whole bar, counter a shotgun, and -going of comments- has military experience before I can celebrate in full.

I DO plan on covering this and more info in a future comic, but if you want to know now, Rin has a character sheet in my gallery that sort of goes over her in detail (though it summarizes quite a bit,) but honestly part of me starting these in-universe canon comics is to get everyone more acquainted with my characters, so they know who they are, what they like/dislike, and what some of them are capable of.

So, I have many, many thoughts regarding this page, and I hope I don’t sound like a jerk here. I also don’t know how my thoughts will stand later on, considering there are still a few more pages.
First, I’ll say I admire you for going through with this project to tell this story. I have been anticipating each new page to see where this goes, Lena is precious and must be protected, and you created an antagonist that readers can root against very well. I was very much looking forward to his downfall.
That being said...while him getting justice dealt to him was a long time coming, I was REALLY hoping it wouldn’t be like this. This is a guy who brutally took out a whole bar of people in the beginning, and he is taken down by a (I’m guessing) teenage red panda ex machina? It just feels like we stepped into anime territory after being in a comic that felt more grounded in reality. Some foreshadowing to either her rage and/or her fighting abilities would have worked to make it feel less jarring.
I was really rooting for Lena, and was hoping that she would be able to do at least something to overcome him (not necessarily physical) and grow stronger as a person. To have the problem solved this way takes away from a well deserved triumph that she could have had. (Like when the daughter said Tobias was not her dad. That was SO satisfying!)
But, in the end, I’m just one guy who takes story writing maybe too seriously. Other people seem to be here for the beatdown, so if it must be this way, GET F***ED, TOBIAS!

No worries! Like anything in this comic, i thought it all through. This comic has been like a year in the making before I even drew the first page. That being said, I chose a “present day/you are here” approach to introducing this world and these characters. Wondering how this red panda girl is doing what she’s doing is part of the ride that I hope ppl are not only enjoying, but also looking forward to finding out more. Questions that may not be answered in this story, but perhaps further down the line. :3 One of the challenges doing comics this way, is that I can only do one page a week due to having other obligations like a day job. :/ therefore, not everything can be answered in a timely manner. Not as fast as I want to answer them and i’m sure not as fast as others want them answered.
All I can say at this point without spoilers is kinda what I told the other person above you: Either check Rin’s character sheet for some vague answers, or stay tuned and enjoy the ride~ :3

I guess there's some backstory and such, but I would have liked a little fight instead of just "it's [nearly?] over in one strike"- Such as how Dragon Ball Z had Freiza and Goku fight for awhile before he went super saiyan and was able to overwhelm Frieza; it was more interesting-

Sure, in DBZ both goku and frieza were relatively evenly matched until they weren’t when goku went super. This is more like Goku fighting Hercule. Against regular humans, Hercule’s the champ, number one. Against Goku though? Not even a fair fight. As you said, there’s backstory not available to readers yet.The keyword here being “yet.”

"Get the popcorn, everyone." How? When she is moving faster then the kernel can pop. Also pretty sure the friction speed she went at could have popped a bunch of bags full. So then would counter the first thing, as now popcorn is ready for all.
Anyways, great job on this series so far NekoStar. It's like the 0-100 Frieren demon fighting moment.
