in an old book I read the main charater and his female fiend dye themselves to take part in a Westerd Historial Flaot thing... but she goofs up and dyes herself in full Native American 'princess' costume so when she took it okk she not only had the 'tan line' effect but the spots and smears from where she had the jewelry and stuff made it even worse.
thankfully they were able to get more of the dye to even her out... even if said dye was non washable. "You redskin for week and half."
