I like feathers Not sure why, but I just really like them. Some are rather mundane, but some are just extravagantly beautiful, like parrot feathers. Did you know that their feathers themselves are also a relatively mundane brown tone, but the vibrant colors come from thin lines along the barbs? And how even can such intricate structures grow out of a tiny follicle? I have a ton of feathers that I've collected over the years and would love to do more with them, but I am kinda uncreative. My necklace has a big eagle-owl feather hanging from it, and I sometimes wear that. But I don't want to damage the feather and I'm not exactly in an environment where people wouldn't give me weird looks if I wore a bunch of feather jewelry, so I'm quite reserved in that regard. To live out that fantasy a bit, I've commissioned an artwork with lots of feathers all around. The glass orbs hanging from the top are inspired by the ones in the "Lost Grove" area of Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition (beautiful game, by the way). Yurusa creates very cute artworks and this one (drawn march 2021) is no exception.
