“Maybe Uno?” Benjamin asks.
“Yeah!” Ethan nods.
“That could be fun, but are you sure two want to lose?” Daniël chuckles.
“Oh really?” Ben rolls his eyes.
“Yes, and I’m willing to bet on it.” Daniël replies.
Then Timothy walks in. “The weather is nicer now, do you guys want to go to the playground today?” He asks.
“Sure.” Ben replies happily. “Can we go after this game of Uno?”
“Sure, dinner is almost finished.” Timothy replies.
"Loser has to go outside like this.” Daniël offers as a dare.
Ethan nods agreeingly, but Benjamin is having doubts.
“In this cold?” Ben asks as he looks at his sweater and diaper. “It isn’t summer anymore.”
“It is still September, and we’re all arctic animals.” Daniël explains.
“Not me.” Ben says.
“Well Lynxes live in the alps, so it's still cold. Daniël explains further. “Or are you backing out of a dare?”
“Fine I’m in.” The Lynx complies.
“Plus we have to make sure you’re still dry.” Daniël teases as takes the cards out of the small box.
“Shut up!” Benjamin says annoyed.
“What are those?” Ethan asks as he points towards the three empty cards in the box.
“Those are so you can make your own rules.” Daniël explains.
“C-c-can we do plus ten?” Ethan asks
.
“I don’t think that that’s a good id-” Ben replies before being cut off.
“That could work.” Daniël says. He then gets a marker from the table, and writes +10 on each of the cards. “Here you go.” He says to Ethan who is shuffling the cards.
“Twank you.” Ethan says.
They soon start playing. Daniël is starting off strong, and is already forcing Benjamin to take two cards.
“I hope you don’t get cold easily.” Daniël chuckles.
“Don’t be so confident.” Ben smiles deviously.
“You really think you can beat me.” Daniël asks, surprised.
“Of course I can, I’m better than you.” Ben replies.
“You guys do know uno is based on luck, not skill?” Timothy explains.
“No it only requires skill which is why I’m the best at it.” Daniël boasts.
“If you say so.” Timothy chuckles.
After a couple moments, the game is almost finished. Daniël has five cards, while Ethan has ten and Ben both have seven. But then disaster strikes.
“Plus Four!” Daniël yells cheerfully, taunting Benjamin.
“Sorry Ethan.” Ben says as he places another +4 card down.
“Don’t be.” Ethan replies as he puts down a +10 Card.
“Benjamin now has to take 20 cards down.” Daniël Chuckles as he puts down a yellow plus two card.
“No I don’t.” Ben says as he puts down another plus two card, this time blue.
“Good luck.” Ethan says as he puts down another plus ten card, raising the amount of cards to plus 32.
Daniël looks at his cards. No more plus cards “Are you sure you shuffled the cards right?” Daniël asks, attempting to get out of losing. “It is very suspicious that you have two out of three plus ten cards.
“Daniël don’t be ridiculous, Ethan is the only one out of us that can shuffle cards and we all saw him do it, including Timothy.” Benjamin replies, annoyed. “If you cannot play then take cards, but do not make a lame excuse.”
“Fine then!” The bear yells. He starts taking the cards, which takes a while. After he’s done he
says; “The colour is red. But I hope kids at school find out that you’re still in diapers.
“You’re also in diapers.” Ben replies.
“Yeah but I don’t need them.” Daniël teases. “If you wet your diaper then I’m going to take a picture of you.”
“Do I hear arguing?” Timothy asks disappointed
“No sir.” Daniël answers.
“Good, cause it would be a shame if you two had to go outside like that.” Timothy threatens.
“T-that won’t be necessary.” Benjamin replies
“So behave.” Timmy says
“Alright sir.” Ben says as he puts down a red nine.
Ethan then places a blue nine.
“I hate this game.” Daniël complains as he has to take yet another card.
“Didn’t you just say you were the best?” Ben chuckles.
“Shut up!” Daniël says.
Some time later, both Ethan and Ben have two cards left, while Daniël has too many cards to count.
“Uno!” Ethan shouts as he places a reverse card. “Your turn.”
‘Really?” Daniël asks, annoyed.
“Plus four, the colour is green” Ben says as he places the card down. “Oh and also uno.”
“YOU KNOW WHAT I QUIT!’ Daniël yells, placing his cards down.
“I win.” Ethan cheers as he places a green six.
Benjamin places a green eight down. “So you lost.” He tells Daniël.
“Well I’m not going outside like this.” Daniël blushes.
“Oh yes you are. You made a bet with the others.” Timothy explains. “Plus you’re still being punished for bullying Ben.” He adds as he helps Ethan put on his pants over his surprisingly dry diaper.
“But it is cold outside.” He rebuts, using Ben’s excuse.
“It is 18 degrees celsius.” Timmy responds. “Warm enough to go outside like that.
“Fine then.” Daniël sighs, realising there is no way out.
