Amen, sister. That shit is far too serious. I get into full blown fights with my mom over that whenever I catch her doing so, and she always gives me the most semantic bullshit: "I'm not texting while driving! I'm just reading and receiving electronic communications and the car just happens to be in motion." OR, she'll say she's not texting, she's looking up directions while driving. Or checking her note while driving. Or playing Solitaire while driving. Or reading bible verses while driving. And she genuinely says that with the stupidity of someone who doesn't realize that that's so much WORSE. It makes me want to slap her.
Unfortunately, I already know that stupidity goes side by side with pride. And I already know that mom won't stop using her phone while driving, and most assuredly Buck won't either. So I already know what's going to happen on the next page. 😢
