In a random Discord chat with SamanthaIndigo earlier today, she mentioned (and I can't quite recall the context) that she had a US flag bikini that she wears on 4th July. And, needing to scratch a drawing itch, I sketched it out on my phone (pg2) in about 20-25 minutes.
Then, on finding out that she'd uploaded the rough sketch I thought, "I can do better," so transferred it to my tablet (which I was without over the weekend having stupidly left it at work) and did a proper outline and colour. (I know I could still do better, but whatever!)
Of course, the thing I'm realising now is that after this pic, and the Australia Day one I did last year featuring thekzx's Jules and Izzy, I should probably draw one of my girls in some Union Jack bikini attire. (And yes, I realise that the vexillologist pedants out there are about to say "Oh, it's the Union Flag; it's only the Jack when it's on a ship" - yes, I know, but I don't care.)
Incidentally - I've noticed something odd. It's a well known fact that Americans use mm-dd format for their date format... except on their Independence Day where they use the dd-mm format. Just find that a bit strange.
Thank you for drawing. I prefer writing in the month instead of using numbers, less people get confused that way, I also go by 24 hour/HH time and day month and whole year as a standard for writing info (medics and military in teh US do this as a standard.) So instead of the expected US: 02-12-24 or the World: 12-02-24, I put down Feb 12 2024.
