Episode 20: Nightrose's Lethal Ransom
In the park, Sally and Amy were hanging out. Amy was still emotional about the events in the mall, especially with Starwing.
"I hate you see you sad like this, Amy," Sally said.
"I know. It's just that bat hurt me," Amy said.
"I heard. You know, I felt the same way some time ago, when I was young," Sally said.
"Really," Amy asked.
"Yeah, there was this one kid I loved, but he pushed me into the mud. Okay, not really similar to what you went through," Sally said.
"But he was still mean, like that bat. I'm glad to have a friend like you, Sal," Amy said. Meanwhile, Starwing was sitting on a chair holding a dark crystal.
"This is not good at all. Those sailor guardians keep getting in my way, and to make things worst, that pink hedgehog will probably be hunting me down," Starwing said, thinking back to the mall events, then getting up.
"Then again, Sally Moon knew that hedgehog's name, so that must mean this Amy knows who she really is," Starwing said, as Nightrose watched from behind.
"So, he has the Dark Crystal, the one thing that can locate the Silver Crystal. I need to get it," Nightrose said. Meanwhile at home, Amy was asleep, when Starwing appeared, and saw the Dark Crystal glow.
"It's reacting to her. She must have been building up energy due to her anger at me. I wonder if the Silver Crystal is inside the body of a Mobian," Starwing said as he teleported in and used the Crystal to scan Amy, making her sleep clothes disappear. However, it found nothing.
"It's not here," Starwing said as he stopped the scan, restoring Amy's clothes, but as he tried to leave, Amy woke up, and saw Starwing.
"You again? How dare you," Amy said, but Starwing covered her mouth and grabbed her.
"You may not carry the Silver Crystal, but I will use you to find out Sally Moon's secret identity and destroy her," Starwing said as he teleported away with her. Meanwhile, Nightrose was watching from a rooftop.
"Well, looks like Starwing has made his move," Nightrose said.
"Mistress, should we take him out now," a voice said as three cat-like female youma were with the general.
"We will need a plan first. I want to know what Starwing plans to do with the girl," Nightrose said. Meanwhile, Sally was running through the night, as she was looking for Amy alongside Luna.
"Sally, I'll go on ahead," Luna said as she went on.
"Be careful," Sally said when suddenly, the path got twisted.
"Whoa, is this the work of a youma? I got to transform," Sally said as she transformed into Sally Moon. As she finished, she saw Starwing looking at her, with Amy as his hostage.
"Well, isn't that a surprise. Sally Moon is actually Amy Rose's nerd friend Sally Acorn," Starwing said.
"Hey, don't say that. Even if she is a nerd, she is still my friend," Amy said angrily.
"You fell for my trick, Sally Moon, and all I needed was to use your friend to bait you," Starwing said.
"Amy, I'm sorry. I didn't want to tell you or anyone else," Sally Moon said as she fell to her knees.
"It's okay, Sal. You were following the superhero code: keep your identity a secret to protect those you care for," Amy said.
"And now, Miss Rose, you get the honor of watching as I destroy your friend," Starwing said as he fired blasts at Sally Moon, which she dodged.
"Oh, man, this is not good, now Amy and Starwing know my secret identity," Sally Moon said.
"And now, for the final blow," Starwing said, when suddenly, a rose hit him, as Tuxedo Mask Fox appeared.
"Sally Moon will never be defeated by the hands of evil," Tuxedo Mask Fox said. As the two prepared to fight, Amy was grabbed by Nightrose.
"Starwing, if you want your hostage back, meet me at the graveyard and I will trade her for the Dark Crystal," Nightrose said. She vanished with Amy as Starwing rushed to the graveyard. Sally Moon was on her knees and cried.
"He knows my secret identity. Luna is going to kill me for this," Sally Moon said.
"No, I'm not. I was unaware this is what Starwing planned with your friend," a voice said as Luna appeared.
"Luna," Sally Moon said.
"Don't worry, Sally Moon, we'll stop Starwing before he shares your secret with anyone else," a voice said as Blaze Mars and Nicole Mercury came.
"I called them when I saw Amy was taken. It seems another general calling herself Nightrose has her so she can use her for ransom," Luna said.
"Well, I can't let Starwing or Nightrose harm her. Come on, girls, we have to save her," Sally Moon said.
"Right," Nicole Mercury and Blaze Mars said as the four rushed to the graveyard, where they saw Amy looking over Starwing, who has been mortally wounded by the three youma in the cathedral used to hold funeral services.
"Whoa, did they just hurt Starwing," Nicole Mercury said.
"I thought the three were on his side," Blaze Mars said.
"No, they are on my side," a voice said as Nightrose appeared.
"So you're Nightrose. Why do this? You two serve the same queen," Sally Moon.
"So, the slayer of Bloodmane has arrived. I hate to break it to you, Sally Moon, but in the Dark Kingdom, it's dog eat eat, or in this case, cat eat bat," Nightrose said.
"And those thorns impaled into his arm will kill him momentarily. Now Mistress Nightrose will rise in the ranks and be the one making plans for Queen Ruby," one of the youma said.
"Queen Ruby? Dark Kingdom," Sally Moon said.
"No matter. I got what I came for. Housenka, you and your sisters make sure there's no witnesses," Nightrose said as she gripped the Dark Crystal and vanished.
"Yes, ma'am," Housenka, the purple cat in the green-and-red leotard, said as she and the other Plant Kittens, a blonde cat with a purple leotard and a right arm made of thorns named Grapenip, and a black cat named Suzunyan, who wore light a light blue bodysuit with a chest plate, boots, and armlets made of leaves, joined her.
"When this is over, I will impale the same thorns that will kill Starwing in you," Grapenip said.
"Not on my watch," Nicole Mercury said as she used her Bubble Spray to cover the field in bubbles, and Sally Moon and Blaze Mars combined the Moon Tiara and Fire Soul to finish them off as they looked around, turning them to moondust. When they came to Starwing, Sally and Amy hugged.
"Amy, I'm sorry you had to go through this," Sally said.
"It's okay, Sally. You saved me, just like you did when I was attacked by that youma back in the jewelry store," Amy said. Starwing looked at Sally Moon and talked to her.
"Sally Moon, your identity will be safe with Amy, as I will die soon. Nightrose killed me because I took her job searching for the Silver Crystal. Now that she has it, she may be looking for the Silver Crystal. However, there is a catch," Starwing said.
"What is it," Sally Moon asked.
"The crystal was split into seven gems when seven of Queen Ruby's greatest Youma, who long ago, were used to invade the Moon Kingdom. My time is up, Sally Moon, but there are seven people who are in danger, and do not know they are reincarnated as normal Mobians. Maybe in a different time, we could have been allies," Starwing said as he passed on, vanishing from existence.
"I can't believe it. A bad guy, betrayed by one of his own," Amy said.
"And now, there are seven people who will be targeted by this Nightrose creep," Blaze Mars said.
"I can't fight humans who can be turned into monsters," Sally Moon said.
"Do not worry, Sally Moon. For the battles ahead, I have this prepared," Luna said as she did a backflip, revealing a wand with crescent moon on it.
"This is the Crescent Moon Wand, and with it, you can heal the humans and destroy the youma within using Moon Healing Escalation," Luna said.
"I see. Amy, I know what you saw is traumatizing, but please promise me one thing: that you'll keep my identity a secret," Sally Moon.
"I will, Sally Moon," Amy said. Meanwhile, in town, a female brown rabbit woke up from her bed as she gasped.
"That was a weird dream. Meeting a chipmunk in a sailor uniform, and becoming like one," the rabbit said in a southern accent.
