Firstly, thank you to everyone who wished me positive feedback and comments. In this Journal I will detail how Gcat will return to operations soon, with the expectation of returning activities in February.
ZilkyShake was an attempt to return to chipmunks without wanting to admit Gcat, I confess that initially I had no interest in dealing with all the problems accumulated on Gcat and the idea was just to pretend to be someone else with a similar art style but I came to the conclusion that it would be harder to pretend to be someone else than to fix Gcat. ZilkyShake will continue to exist but with no plans with at the moment as I will be continuing at Gcat. I'm not sure what purpose ZilkyShake will have from now on or if I'll be creating a bridge between Gcat and ZilkyShake so I just recommend continuing to follow both pages if I decide to start a separate project with ZilkyShake in the future.
Gcat will still continue to be a space about chipmunks in its main theme with other themes aside. Times have changed, as have my art style and the way I feel comfortable keeping Gcat active. The quantity and frequency of posts is undefined. The look of the artworks remained very similar to the posts I've been making here on Zilky to maintain a better frequency of posts than wasting days working on details that few people notice. What does all this mean? It means that the pieces will have a more sketchy appearance but still bring the details that truly matter. And the result is a higher frequency of posts than in the past and faster comic updates. And I hope this really works 🤞
For those who were waiting for the return of commissions, I am sorry to inform you that I have no interest in this as it would reduce my focus and the time I would have to do just what I like to do. The initial idea was just to eliminate this possibility, but instead I'm going to bring in the possibility of commissions on a very high price for those who don't mind spending a higher amount than usual to have something from me. This way interruptions can be truly beneficial. In the end, I hope that my public posts continue to bring good satisfaction to everyone looking for good illustrations and stories.
All the old classic artworks (Non-Commission) will be reuploaded at Gcat’s pages along with a Remake of it. And taking advantage of the moment, I leave my call to you if you have some old Gcat art saved that can no longer be found anywhere, feel free to send a PM and I will be happy to bring the piece back to the public.
Comics will be continued with a new look, with a new start in a better script.
I don't mind reposts of old Gcat art, as long as it is properly credited and is not being used for monetization.
Some websites mistakenly associate Gcat with pieces originally made by HTHFP. And since we are no longer associated, any help is welcome to correct these hasty tags. Except artwork collabs made between Gcat and HTHFP in the past.
Soon I will also be creating my own subscribstar. I will bring more details about the content in an opening announcement soon.
And last but not least, the original Gcat account was reactivated, unfortunately without any old artworks on it. I will be preparing to return to Gcat in the next few days, after cleaning the page. The pieces I posted on ZilkyShake will be reuploaded to Gcat. If you were already watching Gcat before, you probably don't need to do anything other than wait for new posts to appear, but if you are not yet, welcome
Oh gosh welcome back!! I was always a fan of GCat, you made the best chipmunk art around! I unfortunately didn't know about the move to Zilky so I never followed that page ( correcting that now) and I wasn't sure what was going on with that scat stuff since I didn't know about the second party. I'm happy you were able to recover this account and hopefully clean your name of that dirtier stuff. I was worried when GCat went dark, so I'm so happy to see you back! Hopefully you get to come back to what you enjoy, I can't wait to see more wholesome chipmunks!
