Well it's been a very long time since I last sketched up one of these guys. an alien species which I've had laying around for a while and I thought itw as finally time to revisit em. Given that it's been so long I'm gonna do a proper Codex entry for the species and then give ya some info on the one in the pic.

The Sokee are a mono gender native to the world Sokuna. Sokee have extraordinarily long lives with some recorded as being over a thousand years old. Sokee are also unusual in their aging process. They are not fully mature until sometime after their 100th birthday and after reaching their prime state the Sokee remain in this state through out most of of their lives. However sometime typically around their 8th century Sokee become elders and enter what is known as their second childhood. The body reverts at this state to a more juvenile state typically stopping at the human equivalent of 5. Despite the regression these elders retain their knowledge and memories though their personality shifts more towards what it was in their youth. Sokee elders can be differentiated from actual children by hair color. Sokee elders have bleach blond hair. As for Sokee reproduction any two members of the species can breed. Aside from this Sokee are also unusual in that their entire species is telepathic and have varying degrees of telekinesis. Among their own Sokee often switch fluently between spoken world and telepathic communication. Among other species the Sokee have a strict code forbidding entering another's mind without prior permission except in situations of danger. However even when not reading minds Sokee can still sense the emotional states of those around them. This is not something which they can help. Their Telekinetic ability ranges from moving light objects to lifting and throwing multi-ton objects and among the masters extending into pyrokinesis. Most Sokee have at least some training with their Telekinetic ability.

Culturally the Sokee are a very open people often mediating disputes between others. Very little is taboo to them so long as it doesn't harm someone else. To other speccies the Sokee can seem quite odd at times. While being one of the most advanced species in the galaxy the Sokee Prefer structures with a stone appearance and often times their technology is tucked away discretely behind a facade of some sort. On top of this Sokee dress code is also quite lax. Their world being mostly tropical and temperate means clothing can be very minimal and with no gender Sokee clothing can run the gamut. One typical article of clothing confusing to many offworlders are diapers. The Sokee are often quite active and with their metabolism process food more quickly. The diapers are a garment held over from older times and have simply not gone away. Most Sokee wear them for the convenience. Although some do use more conventional toileting facilities this is the exception and there are few toilets found in Sokee centric regions save for points of tourism. Lastly the Sokee although being mono-gender typically default to masculine pronouns when referring t themselves in the presence of others as their own do not typically translate.

Kibou is a young Sokee of just 99 years. A kind thoughtful person Kibou has studied art and culture. Although he favors drawing and painting he's an able sculptor and skilled with his telekinetic abilities although he still has a ways to go to becoming a master. At this point Kibou is a happy lad ready to head out and travel a bit seeing new places and people. Hungry for new experiences to feed his creativity and art. No doubt by the time he decides to settle into things he'll have quite the experiences to draw from for his art. But the roaming times aren't quite here yet for Kibou. For now he looks forward to it planning things out with his family.
