L: Down on the seabed, a quadrupedal blue dragon strolls across the sand, seemingly having chosen not to swim. He wears only a set of purple goggles as he happily explores, looking around to see if any fish are nearby.

H: Meanwhile, a bipedal brown wolf creature in cape and swimming trunks swims around the sea. The wolf appears to look fish-like with fins (especially at the tail), gills on his neck & chest, webbing on his hand paws and fan-like flippers instead of feet paws with pads marked on the back of them. He swims happily & fast with schools of fish following him whenever he goes.

L: The dragon happens to see the strangely aquatic-looking wolf, and having never seen something like them in the past, increases his pace to get closer and investigate. He's not quite able to run without slipping on the sand, but does soon find himself below the wolf. Hoping that they both knew English and could understand him through his bubbles, the dragon calls out to him. "Hey!"

H: Hearing something from below, The fish wolf curiously sinks down till his flippers land on the sand. He waves at the dragon with his webbed paw. Cody speaks in bubbles; "Oh hello there! My name is Cody, you?". Cody has a long mane spreading to his shoulders dancing in the water along with his fur and appears to wear bracelets and a crescent moon pedant necklace.

L: While he's somewhat confused as to why so many bubbles are coming from someone who's clearly aquatic, the dragon doesn't pay it much mind. "I'm Blubby! Um... What exactly are you?"

H: "Well umm i'm an aquatic werewolf currently, heh. Usually on land, I go by my normal form. When I feel like swimming, exploring or treasure hunting under the sea I turn myself aquatic". Cody swims around Blubby.

L: Blubby watches Cody. "That's so cool... I actually have a water-related power as well, watch this!" Blubby opens his mouth and exhales, but instead of a stream of bubbles floating away, a single large bubble inflates from his mouth. He continues blowing it up until it's about the size of his head, at which point he releases it and it starts floating, still keeping together.

H: "Wow, That's so cool! I can blow big bubbles as well!" Cody then blows a giant bubble around his neck from his nostrils, forming into a snuggly collar shape before popping it with his claw.

L: Blubby smiles and briefly wags his tail. "Oh, nice! I thought that was unique to me! Although, I kind of need the air it takes for mine, you're lucky you have gills." He sits down in the sand.

H: Cody lays down in front of the sand. "Well, I have infinite bubbles in my lungs when I become aquatic. They don't run out when I blow out one. I can also blow an air bubble if you like to, hehe."

L: "Dont quite need one yet, I can hold my breath a REALLY long time. Thanks for the offer, though! My only other option is going all the way back to shore, since I can't swim."

H: "Oh, I see." Cody is standing on his knees when fish surrounds the two of them. "Oh hi little guys!"

L: "Love when this happens! Usually I have to visit a place a lot of times for fish to get this friendly, but I guess they're just more brave around here." Blubby smiles as fish swim around him, occasionally poking at him.

H: "Hehe~" Cody pulls out a can of fish pellets from his leather bag, he pours some onto his webbed paws and feeds the fishes. A lot of heart-shaped bubbles escape from his muzzle while wagging his fluffy fish tail.

L: "Ah, I bet you're why they're so eager to come up to us!" Blubby lays on his back and slowly blows a continuous stream of bubbles for the fish to play with.

H: "Cute." Cody swims over to Blubby and pets him on the head while the fish are playing with the bubbles.

L: He smiles and switches to blowing somewhat bigger bubbles, a "bloop" sound following the release of each one. It was likely costing Blubby more air, but he didn't mind for now.

H: Cody notices Blubby's horns switching colors from their start. "Umm why are your horns changing color?"

L: As Cody says that, it finally occurs to Blubby just how much air he was bubbling away, and he stops exhaling, briefly puffing his cheeks. "Mm... I-it shows when I'm forced to breathe. Once they're fully blue, I start gasping... C-could I have some air?"

H: Cody blows a bubble around Blubby's entire muzzle, so that he can breathe air there.

L: Blubby inhales, and the blue tint that had been moving up his horns goes most of the way back down. At the same time, the bubble quickly shrinks, and even goes away entirely as he breathes in the whole thing in one go. "Oh, forgot to mention, my lungs are bigger on the inside somehow. Not a big deal, I sort of prefer holding my breath."

H: "I see" Cody said. "By the way, umm is it ok if I can accompany you just in case something happens?"

L: "Of course! Having someone with me that can give me a significant amount of air is always nice, I usually have to stick close to shore." Blubby gets back up.

H: "Hehe, so umm where were you going to?" Cody follows Blubby as he kicks his flippaws and fish tail altogether like a merwolf.

L: "I don't really have anywhere in mind, I'm sort of just wandering around. Is there anything interesting nearby you know about?"

H: "Well, I do stumble upon temples or ships most of the time. I do know a lot of them but my mind can't figure out where were they after visiting one very well. My memory is kinda fishy (the memory span of fish is 12 days), hehe." School of fish still follows Cody.

L: "That's fair. Maybe we can find a reef or something to relax in for a while." Blubby smiles at the fish following Cody, blowing a few bubbles.

H: "Heh." Cody spins around horizontally while swimming, his mane gliding like waves. "By the way, umm how did you obtain your bubble blowing abilities?"

L: "I've been able to do that for longer than I can remember. Apparently my first was when I was just a few days old, so I might've just always been this way."

H: "Oh, interesting. And what was your first time diving?"

L: "Don't really remember that either, honestly, I was still pretty young. Think it was in a lake, but that's all I've got. Hey, how'd you discover you can turn aquatic?"

H: "Oh... It's a long story."

L: "...Some other time, then." Up ahead, something interesting finally becomes visible; a shipwreck! "Oh cool, you see that?"

H: "Yep, That's one of them!" Cody wags his fish tail and flaps his fins in excitement as bubbles escape from his own muzzle. "Should we go in?"

L: Blubby happily nods, and walks up to the wreck to look for a way inside.  Before too long, he finds a hole in the side low enough for him to reach, and big enough for him and Cody to fairly easily go into. "This seems like our best option, here."

H: Cody nods in agreement as the duo enter through the hole.

L: Inside the wreck, it's almost silent aside from the two explorers' bubbles, and the sound of Blubby's paws as he walks. Anyone else holding their breath would likely be nervous, having a ceiling above them underwater, but it wasn't as if he could swim up anyway.

H: "It's so eerily quiet here." Cody said as he explores around the ship while walking on his easy-to-slip flattened paws.

L: "I'm sure it'll be fine, I doubt there's gonna be anything here we'll have to worry about."

H: "Oh look!" Cody points to a locked chest he found in one of the rooms. "This chest might contain treasure but it seems we need a key." He kneels down to take a closer look on the chest.

L: Blubby wags his tail and tries to run over, slipping a couple times before just walking instead. "Awesome! Actually, it looks pretty old, I might be able to..." Blubby grabs onto the chest and pulls on the top as hard as he can... But, nothing happens. "...Maybe not. I guess we should start looking, then."

H: The submerged duo go back to exploring the ship, searching for the key to chest. Cody searches around the rooms while still walking on his flattened feet, looking through every nook and cranny as he blows bubbles around. He has equipped himself with a scuba knife strapped to his leg all the time just in case if the duo get roped unexpectedly or simply for defense.

L: Eventually, one of the rooms they come to has several jellyfish floating about in it. Blubby's demeanor immediately changes as he nervously steps away from that room's entrance, then looks over at Cody. "Y-you'll have to do that one on your own. I... R-really don't like jellyfish."

H: Cody is surprised seeing the amount of jellyfish in the room. The room itself feels like a life or death scenario as it could also have they key needed for the chest. Despite wanting to flee, he however does not want to give up on getting close to finding it. Cody sighs, "Here goes nothing..." Then gulps as he takes the risk by entering the room. He will try to dodge as many jellyfish as he can...

L: It comes close a few times, but Cody safely works his way through without being stung. Thankfully, this seems to have been worth it, as one of the shelves in this room has a key on it!

H: "Aha!" Cody bubbled in excitement as he takes the key with him while he sneakily swims out of the cluttered room.

L: "Oh, nice! Come on, let's go see if that's the right one!" Blubby heads with Cody back to the room with the chest in it, sitting next to it.

H: "Alright, let's see." Cody kneels down as he tries the key to the chest, bubbling nervously. It works and Cody feels hyperly sastified but doesn't wag his finned tail because at the same time he feels skeptical. Treasure hunting isn't very easy for Cody, most of the chests the young aquatic wolf opened were empty or just for the sole purpose of trolling divers like him. Finding treasure became rare and luck-based to him since. Nonetheless, he proceeds to open and reveal what's inside the chest...

L: Inside is... Well, not a whole lot of treasure, pretty much just a few handfuls of coins. Still, Blubby is excited, wagging his tail as he looks in. "This is so cool! I mean, we're probably not gonna be rich off this, but it's still awesome!"

H: Giant bubbles explode from Cody's muzzle by surprise seeing the gold while rapidly wagging his furred fish tail. He holds the gold on his webbed hands. "Wow!" Cody couldn't handle his excitement as he swims around, spins and dances while playing with bubbles and hopping off the walls, ceiling and floor on his fin-like flippaws like a frog. Treasure and gold was pretty rare afterall. It was probably the adventure itself that Cody is enjoying right now.

L: Blubby watches Cody's celebration, happily blowing some bubbles himself until it occurs to him that he's let out a lot of air since he last got a refill. He tries to jump up to inhale the bubbles pooling on the ceiling, but just sinks back down. "K-kinda need air..."

H: Cody stops celebrating when he hears that as he hurrily refills Blubby's air meter with one of the giant bubbles he blew.

L: Blubby gratefully takes in the bubble, quickly calming down. "Thanks!" He looks at the coins again. "We should bring this stuff back to shore for now."

H: "Yeah, heh." He picks up the now lid closed treasure chest, it feels heavy with the gold inside and his floatiness reduced. "Maybe we can donate some with them, hehe."

L: "I'd like to keep at least one, if that's alright." The two of them head out of the ship and back onto the seabed.

H: "Oh sure, hehe!" Cody cannot swim up because of how heavy the chest but at the same time struggles with mamtaining his balance while walking back to shore with Blubby. Since Cody's webbed flippers are very thin and flattened like pancakes despite the roundness of his fused toes, they typically lack bones or muscles to move them around. Depending on the texture of the floor, Cody finds walking on the sea floor very difficult as his feet fins often slip on the sand and glide around on their own like kelp, sometimes tripping on them.

L: "You're not used to walking underwater, are you? Here, climb onto me." Blubby crouches down a bit so Cody would have an easy time getting onto him if they wanted.

H: Cody nods as he frog hops onto Blubby's back whilst holding the chest.

L: It seems Blubby is fairly strong for his size, easily being able to support the weight of Cody and the chest as he resumes walking along the seabed. A few minutes later, they reach the shore without having had any more trouble, and the dragon exhales a surprising amount of air as he stops to let Cody off again.

H: Cody slides off Blubby's back and into standing on the sand. He then proceeds to shake around all his wet fur and mane off as he poofs into fluffy dryness, still with chest in his webbed paws. He lays the chest onto the sand before clutching his necklace and turning into a normal bipedal wolf; his fins, gills and webbing both disappear and his flippers reduce back into paws too, now able to walk again. He picks up the chest again. He smiles. "Well that was fun, right Blubby?"

L: Blubby watches impressed as Cody transforms. "So it's your necklace... Yeah, exploring with a friend is really nice, especially since I basically didn't have to worry about air!"

H: "Yeah hehe, we should probably dive together again someday if you like to." He said, petting blubby with his now normal & fluffy paw.

L: "Oh, for sure! Maybe we could head somewhere deeper next time?" Blubby leans against Cody in as much of a hug as a quadruped can give.

H: "Of course, it's kinda risky but I promise I will be with you the whole time." Cody then picks up the chest filled with gold as he wags his normal fluffy tail. "Alright, I think we now know what to do with this gold. Ones for me, ones for you and the rest to the other folks, hehe."

L: "Exactly. I wonder how much all this is worth... Well, lead the way, since I don't really know how turning in things like this works."

H: "Hehe~" And so Cody Wolfman, The Semi-Aquatic Werewolf & Blubby, The Bubble Diver Dragon went off to deliver the gold they found deep in the sunken ship together to its new recipients. The two have became friends since then. While on their way, Cody proceeds to tell Blubby his story of how he got hold of his transformative aquatic necklace...

But that will be a separate tale for another day!
