W: (Bambi and i were in the deepest darkest Forest, wandering around when we come across a natural looking house) huh. Let's go see if anybody's home. ( knocks on the door)
L: As Cirrus lounges at 10% size on a couch, he hears a knock at his door. "...Something probably just hit it. Better check anyway..." He floats off the couch and flies to open the door, surprised to see Will and... A deer? "Oh! Hey, Will! Ha, who's your friend?"
W: This is Bambi. (He smiles and waves)
L: "Ah, must not be able to talk. That sure sucks." Cirrus looks at Will again. "It's certainly rare to get visitors here, especially two at once. How'd you find this place, anyway?"
W: We were just wandering through the woods and we happen to catch sight of it. And as for why Bambi can't speak, the poor fawn was in a forest fire and yelled for help until his voice was completely gone
L: "...Jeez, that's awful... Wish I could help, but I don't have anything here that could, that sort of thing's never come up before. You two may as well come in, you must be tired." Cirrus floats aside to allow Will and Bambi through.
W: (We enter, Bambi looking at everything with curiosity)
L: The house seems to have originally been a temple, and despite how old it likely is, it's clearly well kept. What furniture is around seems to be a mix of modern, old, and OLD, some of it looking like it could've been around for nearly a century. "I originally happened across this place just like you guys, but it was in rough shape. Fixed it up myself, and it's been my home ever since."
W: (Bambi lightly pokes around at random things, curious about them)
L: "Yep, look around all you want, a lot of this stuff is pretty hard to find these days. I could probably make a fortune off selling them, but I've never really cared."
W: (He notices a spring in the backyard)
L: "Ah, yeah, forgot to mention I've got a spring back there. It's not a hot spring, unfortunately, but it's still nice to relax in it. And under it, too, if you're good at holding your breath."
W: (We haed out to it. Bambi slowly wades in)
L: Cirrus floats into the spring as well, settling in to the point that only his head is above the surface. "I kinda wish this was bigger, too. I don't fit in it at my full size, have to go at least this small."
W: (Bambi wades deeper and is almost up to his mouth)
just out of curiosity, is this water safe to drink?
L: "It's perfectly fine, don't worry. It refills on its own over time, too, I've had some fun in the past seeing how much of it I can drink in one go." To prove his point, Cirrus tilts his head down and takes a few gulps of water.
W: (Bambi inhales and goes under)
I assume Lenn told you about my special abilities
L: "Yep, you don't need air, and you can breathe anything without it hurting unless you've got that wristband going. I've actually got something similar, my body generates oxygen. Not enough to keep me alive on its own, but it lets me hold my breath a really long time." Cirrus watches Bambi moving under the surface.
W: oh yeah. I remember you talking about that when you got drunk off the juice you drank. (Bambi sporadically blows small bubbles from his mouth, clearly relaxed)
L: "Did I? I must have been too drunk to remember. That hangover later definitely didn't help, either. Still, it was nice to fill myself up so much in my normal size, I don't get that chance very often."
W: (Bambi surfaces and gasps for air)
L: Cirrus smiles at Bambi. "Have you been enjoying yourself down there? I think I might head down for a while, too." Cirrus gets a breath and lets himself sink below the surface.
W: (he holds Cirrus underwater)
L: Cirrus is briefly surprised, but doesn't mind being held down for now. He puffs out some bubbles and closes his eyes, relaxing and calmly holding his breath.
W: (he keeps Cirrus under for a long time)
L: Eventually, Cirrus is under too much strain to relax any more, and starts trying to get out of Bambi's grip on him as he puffs up his cheeks.
W: (unfortunately, Bambi was strong for his age)
L: Starting to get nervous, Cirrus stops struggling and focuses. The water briefly clouds around him, and when it clears, he's even smaller than he already was, just a few inches long. He tries to get away from Bambi before they can grab him again.
W: (i grab you and use my paws to make an inescapable underwater trap) nice try
L: It wasn't audible above the water, but Cirrus whines as he gets trapped. Will can feel him struggling in the small space, little bubbles pooling at the top of the dragon's underwater prison.
W: (when you inhale and start suffocating, i let you go 5 minutes later)
L: Not even a second after being released, Cirrus flies out of the water, hoarsely gasping and immediately going into a coughing fit as his flooded lungs drain. Apparently he'd still been fighting hard even after drowning for several minutes.
W: you're a real fighter, i could feel you wiggling inside my paw cage
L: Seemingly instinctively, while still floating in the air, Cirrus turns upside down to get the water out of him more easily. It doesn't take too long after that for his coughing to die down enough for him to be able to talk. "Wh...W-what the hell was that about!?"
W: sorry, Bambi likes to breathplay others when he's in the mood.
L: Cirrus rights himself and returns to his previous size. "...Well, I'd prefer to know in advance, next time. You probably can't relate, but, just being held underwater for a long time without warning? Doesn't sit well with me."
W: (Bambi looks at you with sad, apologetic eyes, admitting he feels bad about it)
L: He pats their head. "It's alright, you didn't know. Of course..." Cirrus smirks. "I'd like a chance to get you back for it, if you're willing. Hold you down 'till you almost can't take it any more."
W: (he nods)
L: "Nice. One sec." Cirrus flies up a bit and fog briefly surrounds him as he goes to his full size. "You may be strong, but you won't be overpowering me like this. Also... Would you be okay with me holding you under until you start drowning?"
W: (He shows fear in his eyes, starts shaking and frantically shakes his head no)
Shh, its ok. He may like being under, but hes terrified of drowning
L: "S-sorry, yeah, no drowning. Alright, whenever you're ready, go under and I'll keep you down. Start tapping on me when you really need to breathe."
W: (Bambi calms and nods. He takes a few deep breaths before inhaling as much air as he can and letting you shove her under)
L: Cirrus gently but firmly pushes Bambi underwater and pins him to the bottom, making sure his front legs stay loose. He himself also dips his head underwater to watch them, raising the water level by a couple inches.
W: (For the first 3 minutes, he's cool as a cucumber)
L: "He's certainly got some good lungs on him, for a deer...", Cirrus thinks as he continues watching Bambi calmly hold his breath.
W: (4 minutes he just barely starts to feel uncomfortable)
L: Cirrus raises his head to address Will. "Did you know he was this good at holding his breath?"
W: yes, yes i did. oh, i actually have plans to make a replica of the Titanic, but on a scale of 1 to 1. (Bambi suddenly gasps hearing this and instantly begins choking on the water)
L: "Shit!" Cirrus quickly lifts Bambi to the surface. "I-I'm so sorry, I stopped paying attention for a second 'cause I thought you'd be fine for a while longer!" He clearly thinks he'd missed the signal to let Bambi go.
W: Bambi: (extremely hoarse) it's not your fault. i heard William's plans and was shocked and forgot i was still underwater. (coughs the last bit of water out before turning to me) are you insane?!
L: "O-okay, I'm glad it wasn't from me being careless... And that your voice is back." Cirrus sets Bambi on the ground and shifts back to 10% size.
W: (he wades back in while i had a look of "what was that" on my face)
L: "...A scale model of a ship that big, though? I hope you don't plan on doing it alone, or you'll be at it for the rest of your life."
W: Bambi: (clears her throat to speak clearly for a short time) that's not what i made that comment about at all. don't you remember what happened to the original?
L: "...Yeah, I was thinking it was either that or the work required. I can't imagine he intends to have this one actually go anywhere." Cirrus looks at Will. "Right?"
W: I know it sounds crazy but i plan to make it fully functional, but with modern building materials, modern means of propulsion, modern gadgets and replicas of the original furnishings made using current techniques
L: "That certainly does sound crazy! I'd be willing to help out with that if you want. Just with moving stuff around, though, I'm not good with tech stuff."
W: no need. I have a swarm of clones working tirelessly to mak it a reality
L: "Cloning's really gotten that good? I've never really paid much attention to it... I hope there isn't another of myself around."
W: oh, i'd NEVER clone ANYONE without the original's consent, EVER
L: "Good to know YOU wouldn't, at least." Cirrus settles a bit deeper into the spring, to the point that his mouth and nostrils are underwater while his eyes are still above.
W: (Bambi does the same and does a dead-eye stare into your eyes)
L: Cirrus tries to talk underwater without thinking, before surfacing so he can be better understood. "Sorry. Hope we didn't make you too uncomfortable, talking about that. We won't discuss it with you around in the future."
W: Bambi enjoys staredowns with his mouth and nostrils underwater, don't ask why though
L: "Ah, okay, thought that was more of a glare." Going back down again, Cirrus stares back at Bambi.
W: (it lasts for 5 minutes, Bambi whining too softly for you to hear from his burning lungs and eyestrain)
L: While his own lungs are still perfectly fine, Cirrus' eyes also hurt a bit from staring for so long. He keeps it up regardless, wanting to see just how long Bambi can hold his breath.
W: (he briefly dips his eyes under to rehydrate them)
L: For whatever reason, only now did it occur to Cirrus that he could do that instead of blinking. He too lowers his head for a moment, significantly reducing the strain on his eyes.
W: (10 minutes in and he's really struggling. his chest is convulsing and his eyes are just barely open, focusing all his willpower into holding his breath for as long as possible)
L: Even after this long, Cirrus felt only the slightest need to breathe, but was more concerned with Bambi. "He's not gonna stay down until he inhales, is he?", he thinks.
W: (finally he exhales all his air and stays still for a few seconds before surfacing and gasps heavily)
L: Cirrus surfaces as well. "Man, you're GREAT at holding your breath! I haven't had much interaction with deer in my life, but there's no way it didn't take a ton of practice to get to this point!"
W: Bambi: you're right. my first breathold was a quicksand date with my crush, Faline. and that was also the first time I drowned. thank goodness there were others around to rescue me
L: "Hopefully you haven't drowned again since then, or at least not much. I imagine that first one is why you got so serious about improving how long you can hold your breath."
W: Bambi: right again, but if i drowned to the point i lose consciousness, i'd be able to go days on end before some outside factor, i.e. dehydration, will take my life
L: "So just drowning can't really hurt you... Cool. I'm kind of like that as well, and not just with drowning; nothing can do any permanent harm to me, but presumably it can still eventually be too much."
W: Bambi: correct. (my watch starts beeping)
L: Cirrus looks over at Will. "What's up?"
W: its time for Bambi to go home. (heads out with him) it was great seeing you again Cirrus.
L: "Ah, fair enough. Come by again whenever you like! I probably won't be here, I travel a lot, but you're always welcome here regardless."
W: Bambi: bye!
