I'm going to have to thank DilbertDog for this one. I don't know if dilbert will be satisfied with my approach, but I hope at least this will provide some inspiration to all with winged characters like bats and birds.

Yeah, I think Mango is her name, and she has these "gauge" style piercings. I think they're less there for clothes, and more just so she can wear handcuffs or other restraints on her wrists. She seems to wear a poncho type thing in her ref sheet.

I some times have issues putting things on over my antlers, and button ups seem to be the only thing i can wear with out getting stuck in said antlers, (unless they have fallen off for the seasson) do you have any alternative solutions?

Maybe zip ups instead? Or Velcro® hook and loop ups maybe? I suppose some kind of harness might work as well. The only other solution would be to get a shirt on while the antlers are off, and wear that until the next seasonal antler shedding. Just do your best not to get it dirty. Because you're stuck with it until then.

While the wings on my bat character don't attach to her sides due to being hybrid species, the poncho idea is exactly how she deals with wearing warmer clothing.

I suppose I could free the wings by having the poncho not cover the arms. Also making sure the fabric extends past the point the wings attach to the body, and have buttons on the corners in order to fasten it better. I might add that to this one.

Non-tubey arms that actually fit the shape of the wings insted of being adopted from non-winged clothing. Keeps them properlly warm too! Altough this would be similiar to a poncho with the sides partially closed up.

For the poncho, it's definitely a great idea for general walkin' around town stuff for bats and things, but it's absolutely not functional when it comes to flight. Too baggy and too much drag. You'd need clips on either the front or the back to detach the poncho and to be able to lock it to either the front or back for flight to free up the wings.

I'll be honest, that outfit kid of reminds me of Dungarees. Which further made me think that's a decently plausible option for winged characters. Probably more so for characters with wings protruding from their backs, as the suspenders can easily fit between the joints.
I may have to do another post exploring the options available for back wings. Also very happy to see others engaging in this fun little brainstorming.

Different accommodations for a number of different traits are all fun. ● Side wings and back wings, ● different tail: •sizes (The amount of extra fabric necessary to accomodate the tail hole differs between a skinny dalmatian tail and a fat dragon tail) (probably a button or velcrow belt type thing at the back of the pants, rather than a hole built into the pants themself. The tail would itself with such a snap loop offer a great way to make sure pants stay up without needing an actual belt) , • prehensileness (Sturdiness and ease of flexibility for wagging or a monkey using their tail to grab something), • strengths (Water bottle phanny packs on strong gator tails are a silly one but a favorite of mine), •or even cleanliness (for example, an Akita doesn't have to worry about their curly tail dragging on the ground, but a gator, a snep, or a number of other long-tailed and/or heavy-tailed might want fabric either entirely circling their tail or along the underside to prevent it from getting dirty throughout the day), ● depending on your persuasion of furry there's different body sizes and proportions to account for ala thicker arms on hippos and longer necks on giraffes if you go the zootopia route, ● and and and and...
