Magnets are only good for posing or limited movement...unless you use one of those expensive ones that you need to have the strength - and brain - of a gorilla to pull apart because you don't realize it's way easier to slide them apart.

its more lots of little ones as the only thing that makes sense  because of the wings

Bats present an interesting challenge for furry clothing. I'm not certain if magnets would be a perfect solution either. A solution sure, but I think wearing them for a prolonged amount of time would eventually become painful. Like wearing ear buds that aren't sized to your ear eventually becomes painful.

Hmm, I always thought with bats and winged creatures, depending on the wing type, they wore tunic's aprons and overalls, with tie downs to keep the back or sides free for their wings? Also if it was cold enough, a scarf or a piece of fabric would be used to cover their back...

This..is wonderful

I've allways kinda advocated for extremely relaxed to non existent clothing requirements in furry settings becouse...clothes over fur would be extremely hot irritating to the follicles and skin and very uncomfortable not to mention shoes over paws...

So I am very down to see more inventive furry clothing designs

I think I can think of a way to make paw pads work... I think... That thing I promise I can do with my Brian.

I know one guy making a slice-of-life comic involving a werewolf town who has them wearing flip-flops/sandals if they wear any sort of footwear at all - nice and open, but still some protection for the beans.

Ice seen kind of naruto style open toe open heel shoes now and then those feel like they would work

I still feel like furries would wade a lot of robes ponchos loincloth loose stuff XD wonder what a more modern take on that style of dress would be like

I don't know. But I do know I have once worn a pair of leggings where I could feel my own leg hairs poking between the weaves of the fabric.

I kinda figure that furry, feathered, and even scaly society would be mostly unclothed. Furries because clothing can be irritating and rub the wrong way against the fur, and don't even get me started on cats who actively hate wearing clothes. Feathered because it can be worse than fur to hove clothing on, and wings mostly defeat clothing on the upper body, and scailies because if they are like their animal ancestors actually need UV light exposure to produce the vitamins that they need to live. So I think clothing or  clothing like things would tend to favor the functional end of the spectrum. A belt or harness to hold tools and items in and perhaps some kind of shoe.

Interesting take. I'd add that the main reason why demonstrating your genitals is considered inappropriate among humans is that they can get sexually aroused the whole year, and their arousal mechanisms are mostly sight-based. In a society where heat is a thing and everyone can smell your pheromones fifty meters away, clothes would be completely useless: a fully clothed furry in heat in a public place would be perceived exactly as a naked human, and vice versa - showing off your goods while not in heat isn't going to make an impression on anyone.

But what do you do when you sit down and the button starts to press into your back?
