Winter Festival has come to Maeria. Unfortunately, Tacki’s regiment is deployed on campaign. A very inconvenient demon invasion saw to that. The prospect of missing the yearly Winter Festival, a week-long event, certainly has an effect on the morale of a cub soldier.
While a proper celebration has to be put on halt, that doesn’t mean that some winter cheer can’t be observed by the troops. Betting on the campaign lasting through the festival, Tacki procured a large amount of hot chocolate mix and marshmallows so that the troops could have SOMETHING during this normally joyous time.
As soon as a lull in the campaign happened, and the sun came out to warm the winter snows, Tacki and some of the dedicated caretaker synths of the regiment broke out everything they’d need for a semi traditional hot chocolate party.
Visual Description:
Tacki is handing a sippy cup filled with steamy hot chocolate to Stoneth. Both characters have warm smiles on their faces. Tacki is a red dragon hatchling with blue eyes and silver hair. He is wearing a bicorne (taco) hat and a blue winter coat. A red sash tied around his waist.
Stoneth is a white furred hyena-cow with blue hair and gold eyes. She is wearing a Sunnyside fusilier uniform with winter greatcoat and shako cover. A pink bow is tied around her long tail, which ends in a blue pooftail. Her hooves are uncovered but probably aren’t too cold in the snow.
Behind Tacki, Army Mom Amy, the green dragoness caretaker synth, prepares some hot chocolate from her cauldron. She is using a ladle to dutifully pour in some of the tasty drink into another sippy cup. She has purple hair, purple eyes, a green leaf on her head and a brown striped tanuki tail. She is wearing a snuggly lavender winter coat. Behind her is a table with more sippy cups ready for the rest of the regiment. A wooden crate has some marshmallows and chocolate mix in it.
Behind Amy is Nyxie the white dragoness caretaker synth. She is with Brian, a cub sergeant in the Sunnyside Fusiliers. He is laying on a changing table while Nyxie has just finished up changing him. She has his used diaper balled up in her hands. Nyxie is wearing a blue winter coat. Behind her is a large steel cylinder (probably for dealing with used diapers).
Behind Stoneth, in line is Carter the Wolf. He is adjusting his bandoliers with an excited grin on his face. He too is wearing a fusilier’s greatcoat with a covered shako on his head. He’s definitely ready for some hot chocolate!
The setting is a winter camp with canvas tents lined up in rows. Behind the tents are some snow covered evergreen trees. The light is bright and the sky is blue. Footprints can be seen in the snow. All the troops have sprigs of mistletoe tied to their hats for Winter Festival.
