I may not be scanning my art anymore; it's not worth the electricity to. Like the last disasterpiece, this drawing took far too long and (without even realizing it) I drew the cubs facing the same direction TWICE. Yeah... not worth cleaning or coloring---not even worth uploading, but I paid money to feature the pencil, so here we are.
I thought to make art of the bear family from 'Santa and the Three Bears' (SatTB). SatTB is among my favorite Christmas specials---it's gently paced and has a good vibe to it. Only things to dislike (really) are the snow effects and the poor audio. :P
Anyway...
NANA: "Nikomi! Chinook! Come see our new Christmas tree!"
CHINOOK: "It's the bestest tree ever, Mom!"
NIKOMI: "Yeah! But where'd it come from?"
CHINOOK (interjecting): "From the North Pole, of course!"
NIKOMI: "Ooo! You mean one of Santa's elves brought it here on a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer!?"
CHINOOK: "Yup! And through a powerful blizzard, with Rudolph in the lead!"
NANA (matter-of-factly): "The truth is, children, Mister Ranger just dropped the tree off here in his jeep"
CHINOOK (disheartened): "Really?"
NANA: "Yes"
[the cubs begin to cry loudly]
NANA (to self): "I really need to stop spoiling the magic"
Yeah, Nana never really got into the Christmas spirit---she tolerates it at best.
SatTB was made (in part) by Bill Hutton and Tony Love (the 'Buttons and Rusty/Chucklewood Critters' people).
I got lazy and I do phone pics of art I want to post to my journal in Dreamwidth: basically it becomes digital ephemera. .Scanning is difficult at the moment due to how my computer is set up.
ah, but your art is so lovely! I got lazy and I do phone pics of art I want to post to my journal
