The subject of food in the campaign comes up a lot. Parch isnt a vegitarian by any means, but he doesn't like eating 'people'. But the thing is that, because water is so scarce, the most common food available is meat. and that meat is often 'nondescript'. Parch regularly subsists on dried berries and cheese, with the occasional hard bread.

which is why it's hilarious when the shoe is on the other foot. magic cookies out of thin air? well now it's the REST of the party who's suspicious of the food.
