When I was a teenager, I had a front bicycle fender brace break loose from the fender and it got caught on the front wheel. The front wheel wrapped the fender brace around itself. That caused the front wheel to lock up, and the bike flipped end over end. Fortunately, I only got scraped up on the sidewalk a little.
