The concept was that of the user who requested it, and yes, it is very interesting. I think Pokemon did try it at one point, if you remember the first Pokemon movie, Mewtwo had been fit up with a bunch of cybernetics at one point. While that wasn't as much of a cyborg thing as this, it was still pretty close.
