How do these calendar things work? Do they ask for artists to volunteer? Do they seek out artists specifically? Do you get paid for the work? Or is it just a matter of "exposure"?

They got in touch with me, and I will be paid. This is their third project, I think. They made an RPG book called "Delver's Guide to Beat World" They are a very professional team :)

Thanks for the info. I was curious as I get a calendar every year for Zootopia and they have artists who allow artwork for the covers and on each month.

I just looked up beast world, had never heard of it before. Unfortunately my group wouldn't likely go for it. In the current campaign d&d 5th Ed) I managed to play a centaur barbarian but that was the closest to furry I was able to get.
