Sadly, there won't be a new Tree of Life page today, but I have something small I want to share with you :) When I made the sketch for page 70, there was a panel I just fell in love with. I was too taken with the composition and mood of that little panel, and it made me sad to think how tiny it will be on the page. I had no choice but to draw a separate picture to show it in full ^^ I hope you like it! I can't tell you how happy I am that the comic is finally at the point where the main characters show their emotions together and affect each other :)

I've gotta ask. Is Tristan a half monkey/half reptile? I ask because of the scales on his arms and legs that are more visible here than normal.

Yep. A lot of the characters in ToL are hybrids of some kind. Monkey-lizard (Tristan), rabbit-rhino (Nigel), Luna's seneschal guy is a jackalope and Chili's whole species could be described as budgie-chipmunks...
