It’s common knowledge that caring for a child is a whole lot of work, doubly so when the child in question is an Electric-type toddler; as if a high-maintenance kid who’s often on the move isn’t already a challenge for even the more experienced caretakers, with their significant supplies of energy giving them quite the penchant for playfulness, cleaning up their messes and changing their diapers around the clock puts quite a lot on a parent’s plate. Because of this, even the adults who adore every moment they spend with their little bundle of joy need to take the time to rest and recharge their batteries, and that’s precisely what Pablo’s parents are doing right now, needing thirty minutes to themselves before they can optimally conduct their caretaking roles once again.
Fortunately, even when his parents aren’t able to function as potential playmates, the Pichu still has an enjoyable opportunity to keep himself occupied, an ideal way to spend these thirty minutes left to his own devices. Donning a simple get up of a blue t-shirt and a plain white disposable diaper, sporting a wide smile as he waddles back to his bedroom, Pablo is nothing short of ecstatic as he sets his sights upon the outstanding outlet none other than his trusty toy box, an essential for just about any energetic child; while just a wooden container of toys on the surface, to the Electric-type toddler it’s like a treasure chest filled with the vastest and shiniest sets of riches, and even Pablo can’t help but contemplate how this small box contains such profuse amounts of playtime potential. Of course, such contemplation ends as soon as it starts, as the tot is also aware that time is of the essence, that every second not spent playing with his toys may as well be wasted time.
“Hehehe!”
Letting out a playful laugh as he opens the box, the Pichu spends only a few seconds scanning its contents before taking out a toy that’s so simple in function but nevertheless so highly cherished by him, a small and bright red race car. Pablo then plops onto his padded rump and sets the race car on the carpeted floor, quickly starting up this playtime session.
“Vwoom! Vwoom!”
Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth. The motions of the plastic toy are so basic in execution, but the simple addition of automobile-like sounds are all Pablo needs to immerse himself in the speedy sensations of such a vehicle, to put himself in the position of a rider ready to accelerate along the asphalt as he revs up his engine. Now imagining his bedroom to be a big race track, where other colored cars clash for a shot at victory as the booming sounds of cheering crowds echo around the area, Pablo gets on his knees and crawls around the room while moving his race car along the carpeted floor, pretending he’s a professional driver zooming through the tracks and zipping by every imaginary car in his way.
“Vwoom vwoom! Vwoom vwoom!”
Still having twenty minutes to spare after completing several laps around the room, only briefly relishing in the one-sided victory of his fictional race, the padded Pichu sets his car down and stands back up as he toddles his way back to the toy box, wanting to play with something more physically engaging. Fortunately, Pablo is quick to fulfill that need as he finds a bright red bouncy ball, a toy with much more complexity than what meets the eye, offering so many ways to play in spite of the simplicity of its spherical shape.
BOUNCE! BOUNCE!!
Pablo starts by bouncing the ball to himself, gleefully giggling in response to the springy sounds that occur each time it touches the ground, thoroughly amazed by the sights of the ball shooting back up so shorty after its brief descent; to the toddler who lacks any understanding of the laws of physics, it’s as if the ball can bounce because it has some of kind of magical ability, and while such assumptions are far from realistic, they only make the Pichu all the more amazed about what this toy has to offer.
FWOOOOSH!
Although, Pablo does understand that the ball can be enjoyed for reasons beyond its bouncy nature, as shown by the toddler tossing it up into the air. The boy’s smile widens as he watches it launch upwards, tracking its movements while the toy stops for just a split second upon reaching its apex. Hardly another moment later, the sphere-shaped toy succumbs to the force of gravity and comes plummeting back down, but Pablo is more than prepared for this as he lifts up his arms in anticipation.
CLAMP!
Just before the ball can bonk him in the face, the Pichu clamps the ball between his hands for a successful catch, having lots of fun from such challenges in hand-eye coordination as the tot keeps tossing the ball to himself, joyfully laughing in response to each and every catch. After five minutes of throwing and catching, Pablo realizes that, on top of being an amusing test of motor skills, the bright red ball can also be a test of raw power, prompting a silly suggestion to come to mind. Bending his knees to support his strength and stability, lowering the ball between his legs to generate more force, like pulling on the string of a bow and arrow, all the parameters are set for Pablo to test how high his little arms can huck it.
“Weeeeeee!”
Pablo lets out a silly squeal before swiftly shooting his arms forward and letting it go, giggling and laughing as the ball flies as high as he’s ever seen, stopping somewhat short of the ceiling before beginning its descent. At first, the toddler’s instinct is to try and catch the ball, to commit to the action that followed every other toss of the spherical toy. However, just before the ball completely comes back down, the Pichu takes a step back, figuring it’d be more fun to watch it fall back to the ground.
BOING! BOING! BOING!
Having approached a significantly higher speed than before, the ball strikes the surface with a big bounce, all while Pablo cheerfully claps his hands in response to the silly spectacle of the ball bouncing so high above his head. The spherical toy’s speed then gradually declines, its bounciness becoming less and less prominent before it finally comes to a halt, allowing the tot to end his time with the bouncy ball on the highest of high notes.
With just ten more minutes until his parents are projected to make their return, Pablo figures he can pass the time with one more toy, preferably something even more physically engaging than the sphere shaped toy he just had a blast with. Initially, the diaper-clad kid intends to toddle back to the toy box in search for such an engaging and enjoyable object, but before he turns around, Pablo suddenly realizes the solution is already right in front of him, a particular type of toy none other than the rocking horse in the rightmost corner of his room.
“Howsie! Howsie!”
Waddling over to the wooden animal with the widest of smiles, Pablo starts to climb his way onto the toy, greatly enjoying this additional act of coordination; although the climbing component only lasts for a few seconds, the Electric-type tot is nonetheless thrilled by one of the more novel ways of moving his body, appreciative of this opportunity inapplicable to his previous forms of playtime, proving the rocking horse to already be centered more around physicality compared to the plastic car and the bouncy ball.
POOOMF!
With a loud crinkle and a big poof of baby powder, Pablo plops his padded posterior onto the saddle, his feet being slightly suspended off the floor and his hands being tightly gripped onto the handlebars as he prepares to ride. Starting to shift his weight forward, utilizing his legs and core as the levers for such an action, it’s not too long until the rocking horse begins to aggressively sway back and forth.
“Hehehe! Weeeeee!”
Finding its responsive movements to be whimsically enjoyable as the toy continues its series of snappy motions, appreciating how it enables the use of his entire body as he shifts his weight around some more, Pablo’s bubbly laughter fills the air all throughout the final third of these thirty minutes, feeling nothing short of unbridled joy in this period of play. Although, as the little tyke continues to have a wonderful time on the rocking horse, his physical actions aren’t the only things doing all of the work, for his vibrant imagination can’t help but chip in as well; the Pichu then imagines himself as a cowboy riding on his trusty horse and voyaging through the desolate sand dunes of a blazing hot desert, adding yet another layer of enjoyment to this experience, combining the fun derived from both the real and the fictitious.
GUUUURGLE!!! GUUURGLE!!!
However, his imaginative journey through the Wild West, along with his energetic movements, come to a sudden standstill when an all too familiar feeling develops from down below, a certain sensation signaling to the Pichu that he’s gotta go poo poo, Although Pablo typically isn’t one to voluntarily put his playtime on pause, the diaper-clad kid is quick to prioritize the pressure in his bowels, to push out what needs to be pushed out before resuming his play.
“Mmmmph….mmmmph…”
Bringing his horse to a halt as he lifts his butt off the saddle, tensing up his face and tightly gripping the handlebars as he starts to push, Pablo is about to highlight how, in addition to the rocking horse being a fun toy for tots like himself, such a toy is also quite the convenient source of stability and support for when those diaper-clad kids need to do their business..
PBLAAAAART!!
A hefty mound of mess pushes its way into Pablo’s diaper, causing a large lump to promptly protrude from the back as it slumps onto the saddle.
“Aaaaah…”
Cracking a dopey smile and exhaling a satisfied sigh of relief, Pablo is now ready to return to his previously scheduled playtime, happy to purge all of that problematic pressure and displace it right into his diaper.
SMOOOOOOSH!!!
“Hehehe!”
After sitting back down on the saddle with a squelchy smoosh, the Pichu happily resumes riding on his rocking horse, clearly unconcerned about the big mound of mess in his pants; in fact, Pablo perceives his packed pampers as a pleasant surprise, glad to be provided with a warm and lumpy seat to supplement his time on this toy. Although the child knows it’s only a matter of time until his parents return, for now, Pablo continues to ride his rocking horse without a care in the world, the loaded diaper between his legs emphasizing such concepts of innocence and carefreeness.
When parents need a bit of a break from their little girls or boys, opportunities open for toddlers and their toys.
