The dynamic sounds of drums and electric guitars start up in the background and the commercial opens to a shot of a Pichu briskly waddling around the grassy terrain, donning a red t-shirt and a disposable diaper all the while. As the toddler’s cheerful laughter blends in with the background music, a narrator starts to speak.
“Those little Electric-types are quite the energetic ones, aren’t they?” a feminine-sounding voice lets out a little chuckle while the camera continues to follow the toddler’s movements. “No matter the hour, they’ll be crawling, climbing, jumping, and running to their heart’s content!”
A miniature montage starts to play shortly afterwards, with the commercial cutting to four clips corresponding to those aforementioned actions. The first clip showcases the rambunctious rodent quickly crawling along a carpeted floor, gleefully giggling while she maneuvers around the chairs and under the kitchen table. The second clip prompts a shift to a playground setting while the camera focuses on the Electric-type toddler climbing up a ladder leading to the play structure, her playful laughter persisting all the while. Now heading back to the house setting, the commercial cuts to her standing on the couch with a silly smile on her face, bending her knees as she prepares to a big jump; the playful little Pichu then propels herself forward and loudly lands on her crinkly tush, bursting into laughter at her own boisterous antics. The fourth and final clip takes the audience back to the site of the opening shot, with the diaper-clad child now transitioning from a waddle to a run as she roams the grassy terrain.
“But, you know what’s not made for all that moving around?” the narrator rhetorically asks the audience.
Right on cue, the Pichu stops in her tracks and pops a squat in response to a potent pressure in her bowels, putting a poopy pause on her playtime.
“Mmmph…”
PBLAAAAAAAARP!!!
The sounds of strained grunts are heard as the toddler does the dirty deed, her diaper expanding and drooping all the way down to her knees as a sizable solid settles inside of it.
“Those saggy, droopy diapers…” the narrator answers as the peppy music mellows out to match the less than stellar situation and the shot focuses on the large and lumpy protrusion in the Pichu’s pampers, accentuating the significant amount of sag.
The toddler tries to resume her running, but her movements are far more sluggish and awkward this time around, all because of that saggy, stinky diaper swinging between her legs.
“Woah…woah!”
The Electric-type tot teeters back and forth as she barely maintains her balance, her full diaper clearly lacking the flexibility for those fast and energetic movements. The extra weight of her lumpy load forces the Pichu to lean further backwards, eventually causing her to lose her balance entirely.
SMOOOOOOSH!
The little rodent falls flat on her bottom with a squelchy smoosh, causing an annoyed frown to form on her face. The dissatisfied sounds of brass instruments accompany the already mellow music, emphasizing both the child’s and the narrator's disdain towards such saggy diapers.
“Let’s face it, regular diapers don’t cut it for your energetic little Electric-type.” says the narrator. “If you don’t want those droopy drawers hindering your child’s penchant for playing around, then it’s time for a different kind of diaper!”
With a finger snapping sound effect, the Pichu’s poopy and pure white padding suddenly switches to something completely different, a black diaper with golden ruffles and yellow lightning bolts as their primary pattern. The background music then returns to its energetic state and the toddler stands back up with a wide smile on her face once again, clearly satisfied by this new diaper as she shows it off with a silly shake of her bottom.
“Introducing our Baby Bolts! The ideal diaper for your sparky little speedster that loves to hit the ground running!”
On that same topic of running, the Pichu lifts her newly padded posterior to the sky and presses her fours into the grassy ground, assuming the starting position of a track athlete ready to sprint off the starting blocks. A few moments later, she breaks into a run and bolts around the area, her movement being noticeably faster than before. The scene then enters a state of slow motion and the camera zooms in on the Pichu’s padded bottom, showcasing the diaper’s captivating components while the toddler continues to move around.
“Our diapers aren’t made of too many materials, and that means no needless bulk for babies who are always on the go!” says the narrator. “We’re very selective about our choice of materials, ensuring that Baby Bolts provide a light and flexible fit that’s perfect for the most playful of little ones!”
As the words “Light and Flexible Fit” appear in a black font on the bottom left corner of the screen, golden colored arrows wrap around the top and bottom of the toddler’s diaper, showcasing the ways in which they make for the ideal fit.
“Of course, our selective choice of materials doesn’t mean comfort has to come at a compromise for your child either!” says the narrator. “With a snug fit around the waistline, it’s the perfect diaper for hours of fun!”
To showcase such comforts, the commercial comes out of slow motion and the camera zooms back out, focusing on the Pichu’s smiling face while her feet swiftly stomp along the terrain and the sounds of her joyful laughter fill the air.
“But wait, there’s more!” says the narrator in a cheerful tone. “Flexible fit is far from the only reason they’ll be having lots of fun in these diapers!”
The commercial then transitions from the outdoors to the indoors, with the Pichu sporting a silly smile while she bounces around the living room on a light blue space hopper. The camera slightly zooms in on the toddler’s padded rump as she gets off the bouncy ball, her diaper now crackling with small sparks of electricity.
“That’s right, those lightning bolt patterns aren’t just for show, you know! They generate static electricity from touching any kind of surface!” says the narrator. “Even when your child has yet to develop their electric abilities, Baby Bolts still allow them to have some fun with the thunder!”
As the words “Static Electricity Generation” appear on the bottom right corner of the screen, the Pichu moves her sparky bottom towards her space hopper, bursting into laughter as her diaper zaps it with a small electric shock. The Electric-type toddler then starts shaking her bottom back and forth, gleefully giggling as her diaper crinkles and crackles, extremely enjoying its electricity-centered elements.
“As you can see, Baby Bolts bring nothing but smiles to your playful little pal, whether they’re roaming the outdoors or bouncing around the house!” says the narrator as the little rodent gets back onto her space hopper, happily bouncing around the living room while her diaper continues to crackle with electricity. “And guess what? I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet!”
For the final part of the sales pitch, the setting once again shifts to the grassy terrain from before, now putting two padded Pokémon in the mix as the Pichu is seen running around with a Plusle donning a light blue t-shirt and a pure white disposable diaper.
GURRRRRGLE! GUUUUURGLE!!
Although, as a few more seconds pass, the two tots come to a stop as they feel a potent pressure in their bowels, now needing to make some stinkies before returning to their previously scheduled playtime. The Plusle is the first to unload, popping a squat as he scrunches up his face and starts to grunt.
“Mmmmph!”
PFFFFFT! FRRRRRT!! BLOOOOOORT!!!
The loud sounds of flatulence fill the air as several solids pile into his pampers, causing them to become quite saggy as they slump onto the grassy ground. A frown forms on the Plusle’s face as he looks at his full diaper, knowing he’d have a much harder time moving around with all those lumpy loads weighing him down.
“As we’ve already said, regular diapers don’t do Electric-type toddlers justice these days! Just look at how droopy they get when they gotta go! So much sag isn’t suitable for their active and playful nature!” says the narrator before transiting to a question. “So, how do Baby Bolts hold up?”
To answer that, the camera then shifts to the Pichu popping a squat, scrunching up her face and sticking out her bottom as it becomes her turn to unload.
“Hnnnng…”
PFFFFFT! BRAAAAAAAP!! PBLOOOORP!!!
She starts filling her diaper in a similar fashion to the other toddler, loading it up with several solids as it starts to expand. Although, relative to her friend’s full diaper, the amount of sag is far less significant, with the bulge not even going down to her knees in spite of the fairly large load lurking inside.
“While our Baby Bolts are on the lighter side, they do the heavy lifting when it matters most!” says the narrator in a confident tone, all while the words “Significantly Less Sag” appear in the top right corner of the screen. “With their flexible and compact interior, our diapers can contain your child’s loads without giving them a super saggy bottom!”
While the Plusle continues to frown over his very droopy diaper, the Pichu looks at the camera with a content smile and gives the back of her diaper a playful pat, happy with its far less saggy state. The little rodent then gets back into a run and fills the air with her joyful laughter, her mobility hardly compromised thanks to her new and improved padding.
“Look at her go! Full diapers won’t be ruining her fun any longer!” says the narrator as the camera continues to focus on the toddler running around the terrain. “So, what are you waiting for? Treat your active little tot to some Baby Bolts today!”
To close off the commercial, the Pichu and the Plusle are seen in a living room scattered with several kinds of toys, standing on both sides of a big pack of Baby Bolts and smiling at the camera as they both don the diapers in question.
“Baby Bolts. Less sag, more fun!” says the narrator as the brand name appears in black letters, with both words being separated by a yellow lightning bolt while the slogan pops up from below.
Shortly after the narrator makes that statement, the two toddlers waddle towards each other and playfully bump their bottoms together, ending the commercial on a silly note as their diapers let out a crackle of electricity.
