I see it is another one of those you decide stories. and it seems the main character got some sort of Stock home syndrome in matters of minutes. Although making it a you decide story can be both a benefit and a drawback. The benefit being the reader can theorise and talk to other readers in the comments and not be wrong or right. The drawback is it is kind of a copper out on the writer's side making you think either they ran out of time or they were just lazy you decide ;)
The film that did this was the Never Ending Story. The old film with the love dragon that acted more like a dog. Anyway, in the film Spoilers, the reader gets his wish. The book breaks the fourth wall by talking about the reader reading the book and the last grain of the land the boy wished he could restore it. The film ended and it said "But that is a story for another time" It did not need that because you knew it was a fantastic ending
The remake of the movie the Never Ending Story it has forth wall braking bits including the character in the book meeting the character that runs a store full of books in real life (or movie real life) Spoiler alert anyway they fail to rescue the love dragon which looks more like a western dragon then a dog Chinese one in the original and it says. "The characters failed to rescue the love dragon. They would come back and save them but that is another story for another time" Which you have so much more questions?
I also like to say that deer had a lot of money I do not even know self-bondage stuff existed and I did not know a machine could hold you down using megnatics in your cuffs. Boy I have a lot to search.
