Nigel's parents were like mistletoe a parasite under a grand veil, though not as lovable(Nigel's parents not the mistletoe). Not going against free will, but there are always some consequences to it. I'l bet even Miralle will eventually have a crisis of faith in her mothers decisions during this quest. And I still hope Nigel get's the best ending.

Given that Nigel is most fave character of Zummeng's, I bet he will get the best ending. Despite how I dislike current Nigel and how much people are fawning over him, I'm eager to see his character development and how will Zummeng portray his rise to glory.
Truth be told, all of the main characters are flawed and need a major charactet development. And I'm all for it! :3
On the topic of Nigel's parents, I agree that something should've been done about them, but not by Luna herself. She talked to them, but it didn't help, and that's an extent of her influence. Unless someone's willing to listen and asks for her help, she doesn't help. Taking someone by hand or forcing someone to do her bidding, is out of her character. She even said that making Nigel, and everyone else Guardians, was a Last Hope resort she had in her sleeve, meaning everything else have failed.
If somebody else was able to defeat Chaos, Nigel would've been left to live with his grudge, kicking at everyone that tried to help him. Some people can't be helped, unless they SEE that they need help by themselves. How many times I've tried to help people irl to no vail, cuz they only loved to complain and ask for help, but never wanted to take a step forward and do the change themselves.
And yeah, I bet both Mirale and Leo will have major shock when faced with Rah'Jan's revelations, though Mira's flames might be the only thing that will ward off the corrupting influence of Chaos.
All in all, I can't wait to see more of the story's development.
