[A silent room with some muffled daytime sounds]

[Chalk board writing]

Leeto: Haaaaah.

[Chalk board writing stops]

Surly: Do you have a question, Leeto?

[Long Pause]

Leeto: Haaaah. You're God?

Surly: That's what I said.

Leeto: Haah. How long have I been here?

Surly: Here? /Right/ here? Here in this classroom?

Leeto: Haaah. I feel like it's been a long time.

Surly: Yeah. It's been a few years, Leeto. You've just been sitting there. Just sort of blanking out.

Leeto: Haaah. I feel like I got my head in too many stories.

Surly: And one that never finishes, I wager.

Leeto: Haaah. Yeah. [Pause] This is your fault... isn't it? Haah.

Surly: To a large degree, yes. Of all the people I have created in my multiverse, you're the one I tend to neglect the most. But, Leeto, you've been one hell of a fighter. Every single one of you has fought for his own identity. You've fought against /me./

Leeto: [Contemplative] Haaah.

Surly: You deserve to fight against me, Leeto. In a very real sense, I /am/ your enemy. All said, however... I do love you. You're more important to me than you may ever understand. Tell me, Leeto... What is it that you want most of all?

Leeto: Haaah... Other than you finishing my story?

Surly: Yeah. [Pause] Other than that.

Leeto: Haaah. I want Klive.

[Long Pause]

Surly: Interesting. [Pause] Only problem is, Leeto... [Pause] Klive doesn't want /you./

[Long Pause]

Leeto: Haaaaah. [Pause] I don't care. [Pause] That's what I want.

[Pause]

Surly: <Contented sigh> Well, Leeto... That's just one of many things you deserve. [Pause] I'll see what I can do. But if anyone asks, don't tell them you got anything from me. That's cheating, you know.

Leeto: Haaaah. Is class over yet?

[Distant class bell rings.]

Surly: Sounds like it.

Leeto: Haah. I'll just see myself out then.

[Chair scoots]

Surly: You'll always be a pirate, Leeto.

Leeto: Haaah.

Surly: Just be careful who's ship you commandeer. Understand?

Leeto: Haah. I understand. Arrrr. Haah.

Surly: <Chuckle>

[Fade and end.]
