So, i built this thing in Space Engineers a long time ago and then stopped playing Space Engineers and forgot about it until I started playing the game Star Rail and the thought came to me "didn't I make a locomotive in space? oh yeah i DID. So I got art of the thing. because i want to. enjoy~

Very interesting space craft.

I've created one in a book manuscript I made back in 1995.
SR-7 Interstellar Cruiser - Beta Class by moyomongoose

It's an ultra high speed run about from Sirius 7 (Planet Niyo) made for civilian use. It is often refereed to as a cosmic hot rod.

I'm thinking the size of your craft seems to suggest it is suited for extended missions. Thus, would mean your craft has many amenities aboard for the comfort of a sizable crew.

The craft I created has no amenities other than two seats to sit on, interior lighting, communication system and an onboard restroom. However, it does make up for that by being able to get you to your destination very quickly. This one can make a journey from here on Earth to the Sirius Star System in only a few hours...Amenities replaced by short journey time.
It is equipped to overcome G-forces to make the extreme astronomical rates of acceleration and deceleration possible.
It uses instrumentation to aid in obstacle avoidance when things ahead, including the stars, become non-visible to the naked eye due to traveling thousands of times faster than light.
The exterior of the craft is highly resilient against photon bombardment due to the high speeds it can travel.

I noticed the motors on yours do not produce a big yellow/orange tail flame. They produce a blue glow which suggests they might be nuclear powered motors like ones I've seen YouTube videos about.

Mine uses the old fashion rocket fuel, which is not a matter of "what fuel type is better", but of availability.  The craft could have been just as easily equipped with nuclear motors.  However, in the part of the galaxy around the Sirius System, the old fashion rocket fuel is the most readily available fuel and easiest to obtain, therefore the craft was equipped to use that type of fuel.

Thats just the locomotive of the Starlight Express. i have a design for coaches behind it, but uh...space engineers doesnt exactly work well with that concept. In the world i have her in, the Starlight Express is ancient by ancient standards and has existed since before the first spacefaring race went into space and found a ancient and abandoned space station, which looked like a old fashioned train station, orbiting their planet.
no one has any idea where the Express came from

So it's pretty ancient then.

yep. however, despite its age, its way more advanced than what is considered a "modern" starship

Never heard of that before. But then I tend to despise musicals, so that might be why
