At last! After several years of wishing for my own Lion King OC, I finally made it happen... and it wasn't easy. Next to the real Ethiopian Lion and the Lanner Falcon pictures for ref xp.
The original idea was inspired by the Lion of Judah in heraldry. As I wanted to go with a lion from a different geographical zone than that of the Pride Land. It should be noted that the Ocs wear regalia, but these are just for show. The same goes for the cub's dreadlocks, which are just a traditional wig.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The king : Known by his royal name "Fasil XI" Ashenafiye (ዘጠነኛ ፋሲል አሸናፊየ), Kebret (ክብረት - wealthy) is the brother of Tebeeb, Semere, Keleelae, Yibeyn, Ambaneh and his sister Tsanainesh, cubs of Negash (King) Gaetaneh and Queen Ayelech. Member of the royal house of Ashenafi, ruling over an area known as K'edesemerēti. One of the kingdoms that make up The Land of the Elders (Talak'ibīyē, as they call it), an area that covers the whole of the Horn of Africa and Upper Egypt. The Elder Lands are divided into dominions, and K'edesemerēti covers Ethiopia.
Kebret is from the same generation as Simba, but a few years older. One day, as a cub, he was taken by his father on a diplomatic visit to the Pride Lands, where he met Mufasa. Although he has little memory of this encounter, it inspired him to become a great king, the pride of his dynasty.
Diligent, scholarly and a good listener, Kebret had ambitions to be a diplomatic monarch and secure a period of peace with his neighbouring kingdom. And when his old father, Gaetaneh, retired, Kebret was elected among his siblings as the next king. And he sets about implementing his policy right away. One of his first acts was to marry Armana, a good friend and princess, now Queen of Semhar. A kingdom corresponding to Eritrea and southern Sudan. Thus uniting their kingdoms. When he is absent for diplomatic reason, she is the semi-ruler, co-regent of the kingdom, along Kebret’s younger brother Tebeeb the prime minister of sort.
The Heir : Siyoum (ስዩም - Appointed/Chosen One) is the son of Kebret and Armana, a rather well-behaved and respectful mesfin/prince cub. His only motivation is to be like his father: diligent, conciliatory and full of admiration for his father, whom he will obey without question despite Seneb's attempts to instil a critical sense in him. Siyoum also shows promising fighting skills for his young age, under the tutelage of his uncle Ambaneh, the kingdom's peacekeeper, and his parents. Though a little more from his mother than from Kebret, who, though a very good fighter, only fights to keep his shape.
The Protector : Seneb (well-being), he is a member of an order of Egyptian Lanner falcons whose mission is to protect the monarchs - and princes - of K'edesemerēti. He goes by the name of Remranēb (ⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲛⲏⲃ - The One of the Lord Ra), and is about Kebret's age. He is a serious but gregarious special agent who acts as a bodyguard, but also as a messenger and scout. Kebret's eyes and ears. The two became friends when Kebret was a prince and Seneb an apprentice of the Order, and occasionally hunted together. Friendship aside, Seneb is loyal to the Order and to Kebret, carrying out his mission with the utmost dedication, and sharing a mutual respect with Siyoum.
