She thought she was being so careful this time. Normally, when Faye got a tip about a new story she’d rush in immediately to get the scoop. But this time, she had recruited her friends Pepper and Jude to watch her back as she went to investigate the shady dealings of a local chemical company.
Unfortunately, all this did was get three damsels in distress for the price of one, as upon investigation one of the cannisters of chemicals burst open and coated the snoops in a thick latex-like liquid. The goop seemed almost alive, neatly forming a tight cocoon around Faye and her friends, a large ball off rubber filling up their mouths to silence their cries for help and seemingly absorbing their clothing. Unable to move or further call out, Faye, Jude and Pepper could only listen to the voice of the worker on the other side of the warehouse, unaware of their predicament, trailing off…
“Yeah boss, I’m locking the place up for tonight. Tell the Covalent or whatever she calls herself these days we got her weird kidnap goop ready for pickup if she has the money… A’ight, see you after the weekend, boss.”
