“Once again you have ignored my orders to not leave the castle alone.” Queen Amethysia admonished her adopted daughter. “If you wish to mingle with the peasants and townfolk so much, then you are to be accompanied by a guard.” Embarrassed, Johanna whimpered an apology, which remained inaudible thanks to having one of her shawls stuffed into her mouth. “I suppose you will need some help staying still until you’ve learned your lesson.” Johanna’s adoptive sister Thya, who had been sitting on the bedside all this time, chimed in while admiring her mother rope up the rabbit.
“And I am only happy to provide my guidance~” Amethysia smiled, letting a little playfulness slip through her stern tone while she prepared one of Johanna’s veils to tie it over her mouth. “It does puzzle me, how you seem to be able to find so many secret passages that are unknown to us.” The queen mused. “Can you think of an answer to that while you are tied up here, dearest~?” The trussed-up princess nodded quietly.
“Good~ Come, Thya~” Amethysia beckoned her daughter. “We have things to discuss with court mage Celeste, and we should leave Johanna to have a peaceful and quiet night to herself~”
