Sonic Boom Halloween Forest Chapter One
It was Halloween night. Sonic and his friends, Knuckles, Amy and Tails were walking through the forest. As they were walking, Tails was getting a little concerned.
Tails: Sonic, is it really a good idea to walk through the forest during Halloween night?
Sonic: It is the fastest way to get to Sticks' house. Besides, none of those stories that you heard are true.
As the four of them were walking, there was someone watching them through the trees. A shadowy figure narrowed his eyes as he watched Sonic and his friends before following them in secret. Meanwhile, the group kept walking when all of the sudden, Tails tripped on something. They others looked at him, wondering what happened.
Sonic: What happened, Tails?
Tails: I tripped over something.
Knuckles: What was it?
(Tails looks down and was horrified)
Tails: Oh, no!
The group looked to see Dave the Intern lying on the ground, dead.
Tails: It is Dave the Intern!
Amy: What could have happened to him?
Little did the group know, the dark figure came out from the nearby trees. Watching the group, he slowly walked towards them as they examined Dave the Intern.
Tails: He's dead. The question is who or what could've killed him?
Amy: You guys think it was Eggman?
Sonic: Eggman is a lot of things, but a killer isn't one of them.
Knuckles: I guess we should head back to town and warn people.
Knuckles then noticed the shadowy figure walking towards the group.
Knuckles: Guys, look, someone's coming.
(The others looked)
Amy: Who is that?
Knuckles: Maybe he can help us.
Knuckles, Amy and Tails were about to walk towards the figure, but Sonic held out his hand, stopping them.
Sonic: Wait.
The shadowy figure reached behind him and pulled out a knife. Sonic and the others were shocked, realizing that he was the one responsible for killing Dave and now, he was coming after them.
Sonic: He has a knife!
Tails: Run!
Forgetting about Dave the Intern, Sonic, Amy, Knuckles and Tails ran off. The killer passed by Dave's body, knowing he'll come back for him later. The group ran through the trees as the killer was chasing after them with a knife in his hand. As the group ran, they saw a fork in the path straight ahead of them.
Amy: There is a fork in the path!
Tails: Which way should we turn?!
Panicking, Sonic and Amy took the path on the right while Tails and Knuckles took the path on the left. The killer stopped and looked at both pathways. Knowing Sonic and his friends would split up, he knew it didn't matter as he walked back into the trees. Sonic and Amy ran through the right path while Tails and Knuckles ran through the left path, but little did the four of them know, the killer will not stop until he hunts them down. After minutes of running, Sonic and Amy stopped running, but they realized Tails and Knuckles were missing.
Sonic: Where are the others?
Amy: We got separated.
Sonic: Which way did the killer go?
(Amy shrugs)
Meanwhile, Tails and Knuckles stopped running, thinking they lost the killer.
Knuckles: I think we lost him.
Tails: Where is Sonic and Amy?
Before Knuckles could answer Tails' question, they heard something in the trees.
Knuckles: What was that noise?
Back with Sonic and Amy, they were wondering what to do next when they heard a noise in the trees. Amy quickly took out her hammer.
Amy: I think I heard something!
The killer was sneaking through the trees, holding the knife tightly in his hands. Sonic, Amy Knuckles and Tails got into fighting stances, thinking the killer was coming. With an evil smile, the killer lifts the knife over his head, getting ready for a surprise attack. Sonic and Amy were getting ready to fight back when something came out of the trees. Surprisingly, it was Perci and Zooey.
Zooey: Hey, guys!
Amy: Oh, it's Perci and Zooey!
Perci: What are the both of you doing out here?
Sonic: Long story short, we were heading for Sticks' house when we were attacked by a killer.
Zooey: Where's Knuckles and Tails?
Amy: Hopefully, somewhere safe.
Meanwhile, Tails and Knuckles were waiting for what was about to jump out of the trees. Suddenly, the killer jumped out and attacked them. Knuckles managed to grab the killer and knocked him into a tree.
Knuckles: Tails, run! I'll hold him off!
Tails: You don't have to tell me more than once!
(Tails runs off)
Knuckles narrows his eyes as he looked at the killer, cracking his fists. The killer twirls his knife in his hand, glaring at Knuckles.
Knuckles: Bring it!
Knuckles throws a punch at the killer, but he ducks. He then swings his knife at him, but Knuckles managed to grab the killer's arm with both hands. He then threw him into a tree, knocking him out cold. Knuckles walked over to the killer, checking to see if he's done.
Knuckles: I think I got him.
Suddenly, the killer woke up and stabbed Knuckles in the chest. Shocked, Knuckles fell to his knees and held his chest with both hands.
Knuckles: Guys... I'm sorry.
(Knuckles then fell to the ground)
Meanwhile, Tail was looking back from the bushes, seeing the fight and ending with Knuckles being stabbed by the killer. Shocked by this and knowing that there was nothing he could do, he ran off to find Sonic and Amy, hoping they were still alive. Meanwhile, Sonic and Amy were talking to Perci and Zooey.
Perci: So, you guys were on your way to visit Sticks when you got attacked by a killer?
Sonic: That's what happened. What about you two?
Zooey: Funny story. Perci and I were on our way to visit you guys and invite you to a Halloween party back in town. However, we got lost while looking for Sticks.
Sonic: I see.
Suddenly, the group heard footsteps. They looked to see Tails running towards them. He was out of breath.
Zooey: Tails?!
Tails: Zooey?! Perci?! Surprised to see you.
Sonic: What happened, Tails?!
Tails: Remember the killer who's been chasing us?
Sonic: Yeah?
Tails: He killed Knuckles!
(Everyone was shocked)
Amy: Did you see who it was?
Tails: No, it was too dark.
(The group thought about what to do next)
Perci: Maybe we should head for Sticks' house. It might be safer there.
Zooey: Good thinking. Better than staying out here.
Sonic: Then, let's go for it.
The group walked off to find Sticks' house, hoping they'll be safe from the killer. After a long walk through the trees, they eventually arrived at Sticks' house. Amy walked up to the door and knocks. When the door opens, Sticks was standing there with a concerned look on her face.
Sticks: What are you doing outside?! Get inside quickly!
Not thinking twice, they walked inside. Just as they did, Sticks closed the door.
Sticks: Didn't you hear the news? A murderer is stalking the forest! Everybody is supposed to stay inside!
Sonic: Oh, no!
Sticks: You guys can stay here until morning. I have a spare bedroom you can stay in. It is upstairs and down the hallway.
Amy: Thanks.
The group went upstairs to the spare bedroom. They decided to get some sleep until morning comes. Little did they know, the killer was watching them through the trees, knowing that this Halloween night was going to be one Sonic and his friends will never forget.
