Katie snuggled up with her boyfriend Joey, as they sat on a couch watching tv together. Joey nuzzled up against her softly before she gazed up at him with a cute and loving expression.

"Hey Joey.... Do you remember our first date together?" Katie asked curiously

"Hrm? Our first date? Yeah, of course I remember our first date" Joey answered

"Oh? Can you tell me how it all went down?" Katie asked resting her head on his shoulder

"Oh? Yeah of course I can" Joey replied before clearing his throat "I remember it started with me clumsily asking you about going on a date one morning over the phone" Joey replied as he began recalling

"So ummm... Katie, what would you say if I were to uhh.... you know ummm.... I mean we have been friends for a while now right?" Joey asked as he felt his heart beat against his chest

"Yes that's right, best crinklebutt friends there ever could be" Katie replied with a slight tease

"Yeah, so I uhhh....... I mean you don't have to if you don't want to but....I uhhh...." Joey trailed off some before gulping audibly, "I uhhh.... wanted to ask if you want to go on a date... with me of coarse" Joey replied feeling nervous

"Hehehe, ohhh? what brought this about all of a sudden?" Katie asked

"Well, I mean we have been friends for some time, and we have gotten along so well, and I really like you a lot" Joey replied trying to explain

"Oh? you JUST like me a lot?" Katie asked curiously

"Well no not just that, I mean I really REALLY like you, like you" Joey replied some feeling too nervous

"Oh really now? What does this really really like me, like me mean?" Katie asked playing dumb

Joey whimpered over the phone as he stood silent for a while trying to work up the courage to say it.

"Joey? You there?" Katie asked before suddenly hearing him blurt out

"I MEAN I LOVE YOU!" Joey replied before meeping some, "I mean uh... I love you, and I think you are really cute and sweet, and would really like to go on a date with you" Joey replied more calmly

"Really now? Well what would we do on the date?" Katie asked

"Well we could have dinner together" Joey suggested

"Would it be a nice home cooked dinner made by you?" Katie asked

"Well uhhh I could try" Joey replied

"What else would we do?" Katie asked

"Well we could go down to the pier down on the beach for a nice walk, it is supposed to be a full moon tonight" Joey suggested

"A moonlit stroll?" Katie asked

"Yeah, something like that" Joey answered

"Sounds like it would make for a nice date together" Katie commented

"Oh? So does that mean?" Joey asked

"Of course I will go on a date with you" Katie replied

Joey just let out an audible squee of delight over the phone before being cut off by Katie

"Can I make one little tiny request?" She asks

"Oh sure, what is it?" Joey asked

"Well, you like wearing diapers right?" Katie asked

"Yes...." Joey answered some with a tone of embarrassment "I do like them"

"Well would you mind wearing them with me when we go for our little moonlit walk?" Katie asked

"What?" Joey asked trying to make sure sure he heard her right

"Well I just wanted to ask if you would wear diapers with me when we go to the pier" Katie replied

"Well I can but why do you ask?" Joey asked with his own question

"Well.... I haven't really told you this before but.... I kinda need them, maybe I will tell you about it someday but I am always wearing them, I figured you wouldn't mind wearing them with me, so we could be a pair of cute crinklebutts" Katie replied

"R-really?" Joey asked as he pondered for a second "Well sure, anything for you"

Really?" Katie asked some feeling happy, "You don't have to if you don't want to, I don't you to feel like I am forcing you, I won't take it personally if you say no" Katie replied

"No, it's fine, I really wouldn't mind wearing them with you" Joey answered

"Really?" Katie asked again to be sure

"Really Really!" Joey exclaimed

"So what time?" Katie asked

"How does seven sound?" Joey asked

"Works for me" Katie replied

"Thus started the tradition you always being a cute baby otter when we hang out together" Katie comments nuzzling her boyfriend

Joey just smiled and nuzzled back, "Yeah, but it was always fun to do" Joey commented

"But still though, that caught me off guard when you just blurted out that you loved me" Katie joked

"Well you kept pushing me to say it" Joey added on blushing a bit

"You know I love pushing your buttons like that" Katie commented sticking out her tongue

"Hehe yeah I do, but you were always too cute to say no to" Joey replied

"If only you could of said no to cooking dinner" Katie replied rolling her eyes with a chuckle

"Erf, yeah, that was a train wreck" Joey commented

"That's putting it mildly, it was more like a disaster" Katie added, "I remember you inviting me on in as you were trying to cook a meal and trying to hide the disaster that resulted from it"

"Yeah, not my best moment, but we did still have a nice meal, even if it wasn't me that cooked it" Joey replied recalling the events from dinner

Joey was in the kitchen staring at a charred mess that used to be a turkey as smoke billowed off of it and from out of the kitchen.

"I don't believe it... I followed the instructions, how did it burn like this?" Joey asked himself in disbelief as he stared at the failure

Looking at the clock, the otter saw that Katie would be there before too long.

"Come on Joey think, you can think of a solution to this....WAIT!" Joey muttered to himself before exclaiming with a sudden idea, "If I can hurry up and get some take out, I can salvage this dinner date and she won't have to know about this.... abomination"

Joey quickly ran to the front door to hurry off to get something they could eat but as soon as he opened the door he saw Katie standing there as she was just about to knock startling the two of them.

"Katie! What are you doing here? I mean... it's early, i wasn't expecting you for another hour" Joey replied nervously

"I know but I didn't think you would mind if I came over early and hung out while you got our dinner ready, besides nothing better than the smell of dinner cooking to get your appetite worked up am I right?" She asked playfully

"Oh uhh, right, can't argue with you there, umm uhh come on in" Joey replied with a nervous chuckle finding himself in quite the pickle

Katie walked on and started to sniff the air making something of a face, "Is....something burning?" Katie asked

"Uhh... just a towel, I uhhh, accidently dropped a towel into the oven when I was taking dinner out of the oven" Joey lied trying to cover up his accident

"You don't have an oven mitt you can use?" Katie asked

"Oh I do but it was dirty and I didn't have time to wash it and get it clean before the food was ready to pull out of the oven" Joey explained

"Right, so what's for dinner?" Katie asked

"Oh its some delicious food" Joey replied

"Right, one would assume that being delicious should go without saying but what is it exactly?" Katie asked

"It's a surprise!" Joey replied

"Of course it is, well I will just wait in your living room till its ready" She replies

Joey nodded his head and ran off into the kitchen trying to think of another plan.

"No way I can leave now, she will find out about this and who knows what then" Joey muttered to himself stressing out over the dinner.

Joey looked around and suddenly came up with an idea and pulled out his phone from his pocket.

"I'm such a derp, I should of used this instead. I'll order some delivery, have them drop it off in the back porch, and then pass it off as cooking, it's brilliant!" Joey replied to himself trying to not speak too loudly.

He dials up a nearby local red lobster and orders up a couple fish dinners for delivery, before returning to Katie.

"So how's dinner coming along?" Katie asked

"Oh almost ready, should be able to eat soon enough just gotta let it finish cooking" Joey answered

"Oh? But I thought you set fire to your towel pulling dinner on out of the oven" Katie pointed out

"Oh I did, but that was to check on it, it wasn't ready so I had to put it back in" Joey replied

"With the burned towel?" she asks

"No no no, with an oven mitt" Joey replied

"The dirty oven mitt you didn't have time to clean?" Katie asked

"Ummm...about that, I actually found a second oven mitt, that got lost in one of the drawers in the kitchen" Joey answered nervously

"Riiiiiiight, so why can't I smell it cooking?" Katie asks

Joey just stamered some as he tried to think of a lie to cover up his tracks, before running back to the kitchen, "Time to check up on dinner again"

Joey, soon dashed back on into the kitchen and sighed some, hoping that the dinner would go smoothly enough.

"Hurry up....I just hope they will follow through my request to deliver to the back door" Joey muttered to himself as he banged some spoons and pots around in the kitchen, trying to make it sound like he was busy

Some time had passed before hearing a vehicle pull on up, Joey peered out the window and saw the catering van and sighed in relief as the delivery person just followed instructions with a very confused expression. Joey ran on outside grabbing out some money from his wallet to hurry up and pay.

"Hello there sir, your total comes to..." The fur began to say before being interrupted by an unexpected event.

Giving no real chance for the delivery fur to finish speaking, the otter grabbed the bag of food and threw the wad of money at the delivery fur.

"Thank you keep the change!" Joey exclaimed as he quickly ran back inside with the food

The fur just stood there in surprise as he began to try and make sense with what had just happened.

"Thank you? I guess?" The fur looked around as he picked up the money "Why do I always get the crazy ones?"

Back inside, Joey went to work on getting the food onto plates and quickly threw away the evidence, making it look like he had made it himself.

"Okay, you can come on in now, dinner is ready!" Joey yelled out to Katie

Katie just walked on inside and saw the food on the candlelit table and smiled.

"Well I will admit, it does look good and smells good, wish I could of smelled this food cooking" Katie replied as she walked up to a chair at the the small table in the little dining room next to the kitchen

Joey ran around and pulled out the chair for her, letting her sit down before helping her push it back up to the table.

"Well aren't you just the cutest gentleman" She replies watching as Joey passed a plate of fish and baked potato to her

Katie wasted no time in eating the food and smiled as she swished her tail some. Joey smiled happily seeing her enjoying the food and sat down himself before digging in as well.

"This is really tasty!" Katie complimented

"Thank you!" Joey replied happy to hear

"You know, this is just as good as that one seafood place, what was it called again?" Katie replied playfully trying to think of the name

"What seafood place?" Joey asked some as he looked over at her

"Oh you know, the one that had the picture of a lobster on it" Katie replied

Joey just cleared his throat some trying to play dumb, "I don't think I have ever heard of it" Joey answered nervously

"Oh really? there must be one not too far from here, I saw a catering van outside, surely you have heard of it" Katie commented

"I guess I never paid much attention" Joey answered as he started to eat more of his fish

"Oh really? so I didn't see the delivery guy walk back to his van after coming out from your backyard?" Katie asked

Joey just froze up a bit trying to think of a lie, as his mind went blank.

"You can't cook can you?" Katie just asked

"N-no" Joey replied with a sulk

"So why did you lie to me?" Katie asked

"I said that I would cook something but then I wound up ruining the meal before you arrived and I don't know..... I guess I thought you wouldn't like me if all I could use was the microwave" Joey replied

"You really thought I would dump you just like that because you couldn't cook?" Katie asked with a raised eyebrow

"Well.... uhh I don't know, I felt like I got your hopes up for a nice home cooked meal and I panicked when that went south" Joey explained nervously

"I'm not that petty to dump over something that stupid, I don't care if you can cook or not, no one is good at everything" Katie replied calmly

"Sorry...I really wanted to impress you on our first date" Joey simply replied with a deep sigh

"Well I am impressed that you didn't cheap out on the meal, some guys might of just got some hamburgers and pass them off as steamed hams" Katie replied jokingly trying to lighten the mood

"Least I didn't set the house on fire" Joey replied with a light chuckle

"Still though, you tried to cook a meal so A for effort" Katie replied smiling happily and lovingly

Joey nodded his head and swished his tail before the two resumed eating their dinner together. After their dinner together, the two got ready for their date, with Katie changing Joey into a diaper before helping him pull up a pair of shorts over the diaper making sure it was hidden under his clothes much like her own. After getting ready the two otters walked on outside before Joey helped Katie into his car and drove off to the beach pier. IT took an hour or so, but the pier soon came into view over the horizon, just as the sun began to set, as Katie just smiled gazing out the window seeing the lights from from the rides flash and shine brightly, drawing in attention from anyone nearby.

"Looks like a fun place to hang out at" Katie commented

"It is actually, Just wish it wasn't so far away, would love to come here more often if it was closer" Joey commented

"Wish there was such a place where I live" katie commented

"Oh? Where do you live?" Joey asked

"Oh its nowhere special, it's not far from the ocean but there's no pier over there" Katie replied

"Really? I would of thought there would be a pier for a beach city" Joey commented puzzled by the lack of one

Katie just merely shrugged, "Guess they never thought to build one"

"Well maybe they will one day" Joey replied

"I guess anything is possible" Katie replied with a smile

The two soon arrived at the pier as Joey parked the car and helped Katie on on out, and was greeted by a loving nose nuzzle from the otter girl. Joey blushed unable to help but smile and nuzzle her back while holding her hand lovingly.

"So what do you want to do first?" Joey asked

Katie thought on it for a moment as she looked around the pier before seeing a photographer standing in front of some silly your face here cut out pictures.

"Ohh let's get some pictures taken!" Katie exclaimed excitedly

Joey smiled and walked along with his girlfriend to the photo spot and approached the first board and the two stuck their heads on into the empty spots. Joey's face in place of a cartoony looking fish while Katie's face was in the place of a mermaid swimming around. After seeing the flash from the photographer the two made their way to the next board and did the same thing, Joey's face was on a fur having the back of his swim shorts being pulled on back by a crab with Katie's face on a fur just pointing and giggling at the sight. The two continued this with the several picture boards set up, before eventually paying for their photos and walking off to the ferris wheel.

"I really do love how silly those picture boards are, it's a lot of fun getting your picture taken in them" Katie commented flipping through the photos

"I know, I gotta admit, you are really cute in these pictures" Joey replies

"You are quite cute yourself" She replies sticking out her tongue teasingly

Joey giggles and cuddles the otter girl lovingly before boarding the ferris wheel with her. The two sat beside each other, nuzzling together lovingly and softly, as they rode their way on up slowly. About half way up, Katie began looking around seeing a breathtaking view of the of the surrounding ocean and city, seeing the lights of the nearby city light up the night as the sounds of the ocean waves crashing against the shore, filled the air.

"Sure is a peaceful night tonight" Katie replied

"It is, the beach is fun during the day but is really peaceful and serene at night" Joey commented

"Perfect for a loving stroll between two lovers" Katie added

Joey just blushed cutely and nodded his head, "That is true"

Katie smiled and looked around the pier to look for anything else to do and spotted the carnival games.

"Think you would be able to win a prize form one of the games here?" Katie asked

"I dunno, it might be tricky" Joey replied

"Can't hurt to try could it?" Katie asked

"No it wouldn't, but I think I could win you a plush friend" Joey replied

"Really?" Katie asked

"Well I will give it my best try at least, just pick out the game you think has the best prize and I will see what I can do" Joey replied with a wide smile

The two just embraced each other in a soft, warm hold as they enjoyed the ferris wheel ride, and gazed off onto the horizon enjoying the view. After the ride, they made their way to the games stalls as Katie looked around some trying to find a prize she liked best and quickly spotted a large plush fox and pointed to it.

"Think you could win this one?" Katie asked

Joey looked at the game and looked at the game noticing it was the milk bottle game.

"Of course no problem" Joey replied confidently

"Step right up sir and win your lovely lady a prize!" The weasel manning the stall called out

"Those bottles are goin down!" Joey exclaimed handing over money to the attendant

"My, we certainly are confidant, better not let your date down and walk home empty handed" The weasel replied handing Joey a softball

"This game is rigged anyway, no reason for it to be cheating to even the odds" Joey thought in his head as he took a deep breath

Joey gripped the ball tightly in his hand and reached on back as he took aim at the stack of bottles. Joey quickly threw the ball taking care to subtly add a bit of his magic to his throw, by giving it some extra speed with some wind magic. The ball flew with some speed quickly flying right towards the stack as Katie watched with excitement. The weasel was preparing to to watch the otter fail but was soon shocked by surprise when the ball crashed into the bottles sending them all flying off the table and onto the floor below.

"Wh-what!? Thats im.. I mean, we have a winner! That's folks this little otter has just won his lady a prize worth remembering! Why if this little guy can do it, what's keeping the rest of you from doing the same?" The weasel yelled out to the gathering crowd as he handed the plus fox to Joey, "what's your secret kid?" He asks in a low whisper

"Just plain skill, maybe you shouldn't make it so easy" Joey answered as he stuck out his tongue

Joey smiled confidently as he walked on back to Katie and happily handed her the plush toy as she couldn't help but squeal with joy and excitement.

"Oh my gosh, that was so amazing! You won it on your first try! You are amazingly skilled!" Katie exclaimed happily

"Well I may not be much of a cook, but when it comes to winning these games I'm a pro" Joey replied as he swished his tail

"Can't argue with a result like this" Katie replied giving him a kiss on the cheek

Joey just blushed cutely and nuzzled her lovingly in return, before holding her hand and walked with her to the end of the of the pier as the sky grew completely dark, and the full moon began to rise over the ocean. The pair found a lone bench and sat down on it and gazed off at the moon in front of them.

"You know, this has been a really nice night. I'm glad I met you, you had been the bestest friend I ever had, and I have no doubt you will be the best boyfriend ever" Katie replied with a warm smile

"Really?" Joey asked

Katie just nodded her head, "You are really nice and caring, but you really need to not lie, for one you aren't very good at it, and two you can be honest with me about anything" Katie replied

"I will try to remember that from now on" Joey replied

"You better, or I will help you remember" Katie replied as she rubbed a finger against Joeys chest

"How So?" Joey asked curiously

"Thats a secret, and I'm not telling" Katie replied as she wrapped her arms around him

Joey just smiled and placed an arm around her and held her close, as she laid her head down on his shoulder. Joey just looked down at her and smiled at how cute she looked before being caught by surprise by a sudden kiss on the lips. Joey just blushed for a second before kissing her back on the lips as he wrapped his tail around hers and held the kiss for a moment.

"Love you so much Joey" Katie replied

"Love you even more" Joey replied softly

The two soon turned their attention to the horizon as a small fireworks display was set off lighting up the night sky. The two just embraced each other closely as they both watched the display finding it to be a perfect end to their first of many dates.
