Chapter 2
Party Crasher

It's the start of the afternoon as the train came to a steady crawl making it's final stop to Ponyville.  As the train doors open there were quite a few number of ponies walking out of the train.  One of which is a dark blue unicorn with a white and blue mane named Frost Trot.  Eager to see the new sites of a town unknown to him, he didn't quite get the satisfaction he expected.  Even though there were a lot of ponies out and about enjoying their day, he hasn't seen any unique buildings from afar just yet.

"Wow, I guess the conductor was right." Frost's spoke.  "This seem to be an average normal ordinary town."  He suddenly heard a slight chuckle coming from behind him.  "Oh I assure you, this town is anything but."  The unicorn turned around to see a gray female pony exiting the train.  She appeared to a resident to Canterlot with her darker toned mane properly off to the side with a refined look on her face.  Frost lowered his head in respect and replied "Oh, sorry.  I didn't think anypony would have heard me."  "That's quite alright.  But there's no need for Canterlot formalities here.  Though it was much appreciated."  The pony bowed in return.  "Thank you.  Is there anything to look out for here?" the unicorn asked.  She gave a slight chuckle and answered "Nothing exactly.  But this town is well known for it's...unique nature.  Please excuse me, but I must take care of a few errands." as she starts to walk into town.  "Not a problem mam.  I'll keep that in mind." as he looks onward to notice a strange looking -&- for her cutie mark.

I've never thought I would actually talk to some pony so high class before.  as he starts to walk forward a different route in thought.  But how come I've never seen her in Canterlot everyday? The unicorn continues his walk into town noticing a tall building that sticks out  above the rest and proceeds to head there.  During his little trip he can see all of the other ponies he's never seen at Canterlot except for a couple.  So this is Ponyville huh?  Everypony looks so friendly here.  He thought to himself in amazement.  There's not a single pony in any fancy clothing or having their heads in the air like they're above anypony else.

As he get's closer to the big round like building in the middle of town, he notice a few tents off to the left selling goods through town.  It seems like an ordinary day in Ponyville where everyone is happy and respectful to one another.  You know, I think I'm really going to enjoy..oy...oy....huh?  his thinking process his gotten derailed as he suddenly sees the purple two toned maned mare of his dreams happily trotting along towards the tents at a fair distance by the tall building.  "There she is...." he whispered under his breath in disbelief.  As student under the great Princess Celestia's wing actually resides in this ordinary town.  It is true...she's there.  She's right there!  The unicorn as a loss for words thought as he starts to walk towards her like a magnet.

He literally did not decide to follow the purple unicorn and unbeknownst to him, the surrounding ponies are gossiping to each other as his coat slowly starts to turn to a lighter shade of blue.  Drawing ever closer, he can feel his own pulse beating within him.  Even though nothing was ever planned on how to approach her, he is just moments away to meet her face to face.

BANG!
* party horns and confetti followed the popped explosion*

"GAAAHHH!"  the unicorn topples over on his back frightened as he sees little bits of colorful paper fall from above, listening to a carnival-like tune play in the background.  Suddenly a pink cotton candy spring up in front of him and spoke "Hiya!  Welcome to Ponyville!"  As if Frost wasn't freaked out enough, luckily his eyes fully came into focus to see a smiling pink pony in above him upside down.  "s...s...Sweet Celestia, you scared me!" Frost barely spoke.  The pink pony giggled "Well, I was trying to get your attention silly." as she bounces around him "But it looks like you were focused on....huh?"  The happy pony stopped, looking at the unicorn getting himself back up.  Frost shook his head to look to see if the purple unicorn was still there only to see a confused pink pony in his view.

"Um...is there anything wrong?" he asked.  "That's strange.  You were a bit brighter before.  I hope I didn't do anything wrong."  she answered as her ears starts to drop down.  Brighter? he thought looking at his hoof to see his dark blue coat.  "Uh, no...I've always been like this.  I'm fine, really.  That just knocked me for a loop, that's all." Frost politely explained.  "So...you're not mad?" As her ears lifts upward "How can I be mad at a surprise like that?  It was nothing I've ever experienced before." he answered.  "Great!  in that case, put 'er there!" the happily pink pony extends her hoof to the newcomer as he properly shook only to feel a shocking current rush through their bodies.  "Ahh!!!  Woah...what was...huh? What is it?" seeing the chuckling pony point behind him to the music playing wagon that has a mirror on the side.  Frost looks onward while the music was still playing to find that is white and blue Mohawk mane poof into an spiral patterned Afro.  It was the perfect setting for him to suddenly break out laughing.

"Ha hah ha ha ha...what was that?"  "I call it my hoof zapper." she replied.  "Hehe.  You are one crazy pony that's for sure." Frost said.  Wait...come to think of it, she's one of them!  the unicorn realized as he asks "What's you're name by the way?"  "Oh, didn't I tell you?  My name is Pinkie Pie."  she proudly answers.  "Oh, right!  I was still in space wasn't I?" he asks while taking the time to look at the tent the purple pony was before the abrupt greeting.  But she was nowhere to be found.  "Yep, you sure were.  So what's your name?" Pinkie asked.  "My name's Frost Trot.  I just arrived from Canterlot."  "Oh wow!  I was just from Canterlot too.  There was a big weeding, lots of baddies, tons of parties and more!"  she happily spoke.

"Hey, now I recognized you. You were behind the music table there!" the clever unicorn stated so he can know Pinkie Pie a bit more. "Well, that's me.  I always know how to throw a great party.  But there's somepony else that I want you to meet.  I've just been friends with her too.  Come on, I'll show you around town along the way." as Pinkie suddenly grabbed his hoof and tugged him along. "Woah woah woah woah wait!  What about your wagon n' stuff?" Frost asks barely balancing himself on his hind hooves.  "Oh, I can pick it up at anytime. Besides, everypony knows that it's mine."  "Whatever you say Pinkie Pie." he answers laughing a bit as they start to walk around Ponyville more.

"For starters, the big tower in front is Town Hall.  It's where all the events and meetings take place from Mayor Mare the Mayor of Ponyville."  "Wha...?" "The Mayor of Ponyville.  Mayor Mare silly."  "Oh....Right." trying not to confuse himself as the ponies continue to walk.  "And over here Carousel Circut.  There you can find...."  Oh well... Frost Trot thought to himself.  At least I'm starting to get to know one of her friends.  Maybe that's what I'll do if I'm lucky enough.  Once I get to know her friends, then I can introduce myself to her no problem.  Frost Trot continues to follow behind the tour guide Pinkie Pie not noticing a strange cloud that was hovering near him above town during the time.
