The vapors from this witch's cauldron draw Penny in close, the young woman stepping closer to the glowing green liquid. The smell from it entices her, the glowing lights capturing her attention. She cannot look away, she does not want to look away. It's just so pretty, the smells so nice and cozy. She feels safe, being this close to the pot. Frozen in place, she continues to stare at the bubbling liquid, slightly bent forward, enraptured by its mystic mystery. She is fully unaware of her surroundings and doesn't even notice a familiar shark woman behind her, lightly tapping her shoulder.
For Kyanka, she is concerned for her girlfriend. She had never seen her so... distracted before, at least not to this level. She'd been staring at it for several minutes now, and she was beginning to worry if Penny needed help. Not even calling her name would snap the ram from her hypnotized state. Concerned, the shark woman would gently shake Penny, trying to wake her from her daze. No dice, but it does capture enough of Penny's attention to have her turn to the farmgirl and smile, her droopy eyes unfocused with a slight glow coming from the cauldron.
"Kyanka?" she says softly, leaning ever so closely to the brew, her posture somewhat unstable. "Ohhh... These vapors... Hmmm, you look nice tonight," she said, her voice floaty as if drunk.
"Penny...? Are you okay?" Kyanka asks, stepping closer to the beautiful ram girl.
"Hmmm...? Y-yeah. I'm feeling quite lovely," she says with a smile, reaching out to awkwardly cup Kyanka's cheeks. "Have you seen this brew? It's really pretty,"
Kyanka shakes her head but isn't able to look away from her girlfriend.
"You should. Come, look... It's very pretty, like you," she said, turning back to the pot to stare at it more, this time trying to guide Kyanka with her. The shark girl is hesitant but leans in close with her, tentatively looking at the bubbling green liquid. It only takes one glance, one wiff, to capture the girl too, drawing her attention as well. It does look nice, smell nice, feel nice. Was this what Penny was talking about? Kyanka couldn't move away, feeling comfort in the subtle vapors from the cauldron. Penny joins her, her hands intertwining with her girlfriend's, and as they lean in together to continue staring at the brew, time for them seems to slow down. It is just them and the pot as the world around them slowly melts away, no sounds baring their soft breathing and the bubbling of the mixture, no colors except for the glowing green liquid. Just Penny, Kyanka, and Baba Yaga's bubbling Brew.

Man, I'm still on a Stardew high, and what better time to celebrate the Halloween haunts than with a hypnotic tale of two townies trapped by the bubbling brew in a mysterious maze. This was a lot of fun to write and especially draw, and I had to draw this as 1) I really do love the Spirit's Eve event in Stardew (as well as the Valley Fair. Fall man <3) and 2) I really wanted to do more Penny art. I have more stories to tell from Stardew, and with 1.6 coming out soon I'm more hyped than ever.
That, and I REALLY wanted to get some more spooky stuff out, because I LOVE Halloween <3
