In quiet, foggy nights like tonight, it is important to be aware. Not only do you not want to accidentally trip or hit something in the fog, but it is said that, on certain nights in October, when the moon is nowhere in sight, when the stars refuse to show, be wary, for if you hear a rattle through the fog, you best turn back now.

For you see, legend has it that on nights like these, a feathered snake with a rattle on it's tip stalks prey from the fog. Claiming the lost souls of those who dare venture in her misty domain, many say she is a demonic spirit out to feast on fur and flesh. Others say that the fog itself is a trap, and that once you are in it you are already her food. Still others claim that this is but a tall tale, a scary story to tell rowdy children.

But would you dare risk it when a thick fog dares to block your path? Or would you rather turn tail and pick another route? To go through or return, the choice is up to you. It is your life, after all...

So, this was a bit of an experiment that turned out pretty fun. Plus, any reason to draw Shyla in a scary setting is always a huge plus for me, and hey, here she is again, out to tear out your very soul!!

But wait, is it even her? Or a mystic apparition that just looks like her? HMMMM.

Anyway, this was a short story that continues my tales of Halloween, with more to come I promise ^^
