A follow-up to yesterdays InkTober entry: "The twins tested the tent that night Not noting the tiny rip When something didn't seem so right They woke to a steady drip."
I actually sort of have a funny story. This brings me funny memories of the house I lived in when I was around 5 or 6 at the time. Our house had really bad leaking roof issues the first year we lived there. And me and my sister shared a bedroom at the time, our room was standard bunkbed I had top. You'd take a good guess where I'm getting at next here. Well it rainded non stop for a whole week and this one patch gave way, right above my part of the bed. Sleeping I didn't notice a thing till I hear my sister freaking out! Screaming Dan peed the bed! Blaming me for something that wasn't pee. Mom came in stripped the beds only to also notice its not pee as well. Ahh fond memories Autumnbear thanks for the great memories!

Heh. As a young adult my family (big ol' brady bunch blended family) had all 9 of us in a 3-bedroom townhouse. 3 of the 4 boys, self included, shared a basement. One year, bad weather, the water table rose and back-flooded into all of our units. My brothers didn't have an official bed yet, just a mattress nest each on the concrete floor. Well, the water inside rose a few inches with no signs of slowing. They woke up on their islands surrounded by yucky water, lol. Me, I had this crazy wooden shelf alcove bed in the laundry room, so I was untouched.Until I had to get down. Then the cleanup afterwards, throwing out so much stuff... >_< Glad you had a good memory to bring back. I saw an opportunity to do this and I like how I could tie it in with the previous InkTober entry. Peace! <3
