posted a warning about Paypal's latest attempt to limit their own responsibility to their customers. Unless you opt-out of their policy, you agree to not being allowed to sue them. And of course they do not tell you how to opt-out, but somebody managed to harass the information out of them.

Go to this page to learn how to opt-out. -- https://magneticcrow.wordpress.com/2012/10/12/how-to-opt-out-of-paypals-shady-new-policy-update/

Essentially, you have to mail them a letter. It has to have your name, address, phone number and the email you use to sign into Paypal. It has to say that you do not agree to their policy that you will not take part in a class-action lawsuit against them, Agreement to Arbitrate (Section 14.3). It must be signed. It must be post marked before December 1st, 2012. The address is:
PayPal, Inc.
Attn: Litigation Department
2211 North First Street
San Jose, CA
USA, 95131-2021

Here's a model letter to send them. Just replace the "From:" header with the information indicated, delete the instructions, print the letter and send it before December 1st.

Read it. Not impressed. For the price of a stamp you can opt out and avoid the whole controversy. I even did most of the work of composing a letter for you. IMHO, it's worth telling Paypal where to go.

A controversy about nothing of true importance. By the way, if you use Steam or some other popular services, send their creators letter, too. They got the same clause in their ToSes.
