"Too far in (2/3)"
The drowning lizard struggled on even as he choked, his blue blush slowly spreading over his face. After 2 minutes of frantic swimming and attempted breaths, the tunnel narrowed significantly, but seemed like it was going to lead to air past that! He tried to squeeze through, which worked out at first, but he soon got stuck. With another cough, he got a few more inches as his chest deflated, and then just got stuck again. His instincts forced him to try to inhale again, but he couldn't, the rock so tight around him that it prevented his lungs from filling! Admittedly, that WAS kind of a good thing, as it stopped his choking for now, but not breathing water wasn't exactly as good as breathing the air about 40 feet above him. Mouth repeatedly opening and closing in his attempts to breathe, he squirmed and kicked, only managing just a few millimeters of progress after a minute.
