5, 10, 15... Eventually this diver had been underwater for 21 minutes on one breath. He wasn't lost, he knew exactly how to get out, but he'd banked on there being air pockets deeper in the cave. There wasn't a single one, and it was far too late to return by now. With his lungs on fire, he whined as he continued to swim, fighting to keep holding what nigh-useless air he had left after so long. Eventually, his instincts briefly won, and his lips parted to inhale, water rushing down his throat. Coughing heavily, he grabbed his neck before gasping again and coughing again, going into a coughing fit as he drowned.
