life can be harsh at times, especially for ones so young. Lavender stepped out in front of her house one last time, unable to think of why she was leaving her childhood home. she would be leaving her friends behind and moving to another city... but worst of all... she would be leaving her boyfriend. the year before he had given her a scarf for her birthday in her favorite colour, cyan. she cherished this scarf, loved it very much and took great care of it. to her, it reminded her of him even when he wasn't there. as she got in the car all she could think about was him. when she passed by his house she seen him playing on the lawn, he looked over and he realized what was going on. Lavender stuck her head out the window reaching desperately to him crying and calling out to him, not wanting him to go. not wanting to see his friend go, he gave chase, but it was no use.. being so young he couldn't run or fly fast enough to keep up with the car. he desperately reached back not wanting his best friend to leave him, but he tripped and fell. he watched as they disappeared into the distance, tears streaming down his face, and he could only cry as his best friend went away... 10 years passed and one day Lavender sits on her bed holding a bus ticket in tears. she was going back to her old home to see how everyone was. but more importantly... to see if her love was still there, waiting for her. she got onto the bus and sat in her seat. she looked out the window wearing the very scarf that her love gave her on her 8th birthday. she was thinking to herself how he was doing, what hes doing now... but most importantly.. is he still there? only time would tell. the bus pulls up to her stop and she departs. walking to her old neighborhood, she sees that not much has changed. she walks over and stands in front of her lovers house.. shes nervous.. she walks up and knocks on the door. for her, time has stopped, she closes her eyes and hopes he is still there, she hopes, she prays hes still there... then she hears the door knob and she opens her eyes. as the door opens.. shes met with "can i hel---..." the two stare at eachother, and after a few seconds their eyes start to overflow with tears. he says "L-Lav...ender..?" a smile crosses her face and all that comes out of her mouth is "im home.." unable to contain himself he rushes forward and scoops her into his arms, he holds her as close and as tight as he can in his arms, both of them crying uncontrolably. they cannot speak words, only hold eachother close as they cry onto eachother in pure happiness. he had been waiting there for her all that time.. hoping that one day she would come back and be with him again. despite what happened to them all those years ago, love did find its way.
