This is the background from Sen's Commission. One friend remarked on how nice it was and said he wanted to see it without the characters. Another here on IB commented on the brushwork ^^. That really made me quite happy to know that furries still appreciate traditional style art and not only porn. So I decided to paint on it again. Not only to build my skills in using photoshop *again* but I really like this one too. It's a road that I'd love to jog or hop down ^_^

I definitely love this piece more as a landscape than a background. There's just such an ethereal mood that I get from the lack of defined outlines and the (I guess the appropriate word would be) splotchy appearance of the flora and fauna. The leaves of many of the trees look transparent, and I get the impression that nothing is really meant to stand out. True, a background isn't supposed to divert your attention from the subject matter, but as a landscape the uniform look really works to its advantage.
