Well the Halloween season's begun. So I sketched up my Vampire character this time taking a page from Skyrim and showing him in a sort of Vampire Lord form. ^^ This time I'm gonna include a Codex Entry on Vampires.

Vampires tend to come in two varieties. A common breed and the royal breed. The Royal Breed is believed to be the source of all Vampires however it is not known where the Royal breed originates. All vampires are allergic to sunlight. In sunlight the skin of a vampire will quickly sunburn and then begin to actually burn turning black and as exposure progresses even light the vampire ablaze. Royal Vampires however can resist sunlight for a time in their Transformed state referred to as a Lord. In this state a Royal Vampire can withstand sunlight for up to an hour before the sun's effects become debilitating and their skin actually begins to burn. All vampires have superior senses to humans, superior, strength, speed, and on occasion telepathic ability. The later is far more common among Royal Vampires. In the Lord state Royal Vampires gain even greater strength and speed as their senses heighten even further and with the addition of wings they gain the ability to fly. All vampires feed on blood and all vampires can feed off of human or animal blood to sustain themselves. All vampires can also eat normal food which curbs their thirst, sweet foods typically being more effective. However Common vampires appear to be able to go for far longer without feeding than their Royal brethren. This is perhaps due to their lack of a Lord state which requires additional resources to maintain. Lastly vampires of both varieties seem to be able to readily learn what was once called Magic. This magic however appears to be some sort of tangible ability while rare in humans is much more common among vampires. Vampires are created in one of two ways. Born from Vampire parents or turned from humans. What breed a person becomes after being turned is contingent on which breed turned them. However A common vampire can by drinking the blood of a Royal Vampire become one itself.

Willis is an old Vampire. He was turned in the 6th century AD age age 11 and is one of the oldest living vampires. Willis is stronger than he appears and has very strong telepathic ability. Willis is a Royal Vampire and has been a quick study of the magic arts. His father is an older Vampire who was originally from Rome during it's glory days. Willis himself has had a nice life as a vampire despite not being able to grow up. Being turned he will never age like a pure born vampire child would. Willis sis till able to Transform into the Lord state though this did take him a century or so to fully master. Willis tends to be phobic regarding churches due to experiences with them as a young vampire. He was once discovered and was nearly burnt alive in sunlight before a last minute rescue at the hands of his Coven and a Local Werewolf pack. The incident has left Willis with a strong respect for Werewolves. As for Willis' diapered state this is due to a defect in his bladder which being turned into a Vampire did not cure. Willis has learned to live with it and even enjoy it from time to time. Willis is relatively outgoing and intelligent having had centuries to learn many languages and the sciences as well as a number of musical instruments though his favored one is the flute.
