Well I was doing some random sketching and this is what turned up. ^^ As always with new species there will be a Codex entry and then info on the individual in the pic.

The Chekara are a small avian species native to the world of Chekeron. Standing on average at four feet tall they are not a physically imposing species. They are however fast, smart, and excellent climbers. Their species evolved in the dense forest of their world and are most at home in them. They are highly social and inquisitive. They seem to always be in motion or engaged in conversation. They can talk at great length on a variety of topics and tend to have very strong opinions which they will argue and defend until proven wrong. Females on average tend to be taller than males topping out height charts at 4 feet 6 inches. The species also comes in a variety of colors dependent upon where on their world they descend from. Those with a more brown color pallet tend to be from cooler temperate regions. Females also tend to have brighter coloration. Clothing for them tends to be minimal given their feather coating and is either there to serve a function or to be decorative and in many cases both. Aside from size there is little discrepancy between the genders meaning most clothing tends to be worn by members of both genders. The species is also as appearances might suggest Terran in origin. Study of Chekeron's fossil record reveals the immediate emergence of complex life on their world roughly 65 miillion years ago. Said life of that time period is identical to Cretaceous Era life on Earth. Indeed it seems the Chekara descend from a species of of Oviraptor. It is not known how this occurred though the only likely scenario is that the Chekeron ecosystem was a transplant from Earth either placed there be an as yet unknown terran species which subsequently went extinct or non terrestrial life however no known species is old enough to have been responsible for this. Where this species went and why it did this is a complete unknown.

Kosan is a young Chekera native to the Dresha Forest region. At 17 years of age he's still learning thugh he hopes to go on to be a writer and also has quite a green thumb when it comes to plants. Kosan it quite outgoing and quite the nerd as well and fairly well informed although not an expert in any science field is more familiar with them than most. Kosan wears diapers as a result having a having a weak and active bladder. Without them Kosan would be running to the bathroom quite frequently. He's become attached to them though as they allow him to be more active without having constant interruptions. Although it does garner some remarks now and again most don't pay much attention to it as it's just another article of clothing to most.
