They must do whatever they can to keep it from a paranormal investigator and figure out a way to destroy it completely without unleashing its power.

Was planning to have Chuck awaken his phantom form unconsciously in the final fight after he gets his butt kicked by the master of life and death, but who knows. The main bad guy is a bit of a joke until he becomes the master of life and death where his looks and personality drastically change for the worse.
