In the world NotHyperion made, Torsten moved into Neon City to find something interesting to do with his life, as his hobbies have slowly lost their enjoyment. Long walks, reading, people watching, all of them had lost his interest. In a world where unlimited energy and resources left everyone without the need for work, purpose was hard to find. So one day, Torsten woke and found he had no will to move. What was the meaning of living a life already planned and insured? He'll take over the farm that made the family extra money on the gimmick of not having AI assistance or take the free paycheck from Hyperion and waste his life away until the end. Luckily, his father noticed the change and challenged him. If the way he was living wasn't doing it anymore, then stop and start over somewhere else. The world was free, nothing out of reach, no idea too taboo not to be broken somewhere in the world. And though Torsten snapped back in anger at the time, it would set him on his way to a new life. After getting a large amount of the family's bonus income, Torsten moved out of his small farm town and into the blinding lights of Neon City. With an apartment already claimed and furniture settled, Torsten started experimenting with big-city life. He even went to a concert for a band he never heard of, where he'd meet his first of many new friends, Kayla. After a short chat, Torsten offered to hold her on his shoulders so she could get a better view. And thanks to some good behavior, according to Kayla at least, they exchanged numbers, with the promise that Kayla would show Torsten around to all the best spots in the city.
