Neal Harper delivers supplies to the outpost station near Lynña. Lún'Râ's smaller moon and closest to Qítar'zhâ, the blue hypergiant star that is the sun of the Lynñarí solar system.
Both the station and moon are home to humans and Alqitarians, a race of gental, bipedal felines who are technologically hyper-advanced beyond that of reason.
They do, however, complete their coming of age ceremony by hunting down the one they wish to marry and winning them over.
Humans are widely sought after by both sexes because of a trait that produces a higher conception percentage with mammals of other races.
A male human and female Alqitarian will always have Alqitarian children, while the opposite always have human children.
Thus, both races are still preserved and this coexistence has carried amicable ties between humans and non-humans, planet wide, since the first contact between the two races.
Those who live on the station with their human spouses refuse to be seen by foreigners as anything but humans, so they shift to human form.
This is a two-fold tactic as, should any human supremacist visit, they're none the wiser and, should they attack, the Alqitarians have the upper hand in strength, combat and speed, despite their otherwise pacifistic nature.
There are seven hundred humans and five hundred and ten Lélítüéans onboard the station.
