It’s more of a mistake. When I started make some of the art I was tempted to use a ‘middle grey’ to put a shading separation between the black and white elements. Instead, I settled on using tones and thick shadows for shading. But, you can see me experimenting here and on page 8.
When I do a final pass on the art before getting a physical version made, I should probably fix these up! Thank you :3
